I love my Too Faced Melted lipsticks and recently “Too Faced” expanded their range of existing line of “melted” lipsticks. These are the Too Faced melted matte lipsticks, follow the trendy liquid lipstick trend. This review will be on the shade “Feelin’ Myself.

My Experience with Too Faced Feelin Myself Melted Matte Liquefied Matte Long Wear Lipstick:

Packaging:  I do love the packaging with the unique triangular tube with shows the colors inside. This does make for easy access of the color you want.

Texture:  My favorite liquid lipstick formula is by Kat Von D. Though I am not impressed with this Too Faced formula that much that it knocks my favorite and takes its place and I also found the formula inconsistent depending on the shade. While the shade “Lady Balls,” which I had reviewed earlier was a hit for me, this shade “Feelin’ Myself” was a fail. The formula and consistency of this liquid lipstick is thinner, more liquid-y (not mousse-y). The application is easy and precise with the help of the standard doe-foot applicator. The thin formula does feel like second skin and clings on the lips. It feels extremely lightweight on the lips and one might even forget you are wearing anything on the lips at all.

Pigmentation:  The pigmentation on this shade is quite good. Though it does apply a bit streaky initially, once it dries down, the streakiness is not that apparent. Though I would recommend using a lip liner with this shade, which might help with the streakiness and also since this is such a light shade, using a slightly deeper shade of this color and doing the “lip contouring” technique (in which you outline your lips and the corners of your mouth and put a cross on the cupid’s bow and a straight line down the lower lip) will help your lips look more defined.

Shade:  The shade “Feelin’ Myself” is a gorgeous summery bright peachy coral. I don’t see this shade being flattering on everyone. It will suit pale to light-medium skin tones but deeper shades will have difficultly pulling this shade off. This shade does dry down matte.

Feel and look on lips:  This formula on this particular shade is more drying than the other shade I own. It seems to accentuate fine lines on my lips and also unforgiving on dry patches.

Staying Power:  I am quite disappointed with how this shade wore throughout the day – 3 hours into wear with a light meal (which wasn’t even oily), it got crusty and looked horrible. It fades unevenly and I barely get 5 hours of wear before I realize how bad it looks that I would have to take it off.  This liquid lipstick is mostly transfer proof but does have a slightly tacky feel (nothing too bothersome).

Overall, if you have to pick a shade from this “Too Faced” liquid lipstick range, I would not recommend this shade.

Pros of Too Faced Feelin Myself Melted Matte Liquefied Matte Long Wear Lipstick:

• Super lightweight, sometimes you can forget that you are wearing anything.
• Very thin and clings on to the lips like second skin.
• Super opaque pigmentation in a thin layer.

Cons of Too Faced Feelin Myself Melted Matte Liquefied Matte Long Wear Lipstick:

• This shade does accentuate fine lines and feels dry than the other shades that I own from this range.
• Does not survive a meal, fades unevenly and gets crusty.
• Bad staying power.
