Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Flirt Review

Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Flirt

Hey Guys!

I see that Too Faced is finally on IMBB, with Isha, Beena, Shania and, of course, myself reviewing some products from the brand. I’ve always loved the brand’s eyeshadows and eyelid primer and only recently started trying their lip products out. Today, I’ll be reviewing a lip gloss from their Glamour Gloss collection. So let’s get started!

Product Description and Price

Too Face’s Glamour Gloss is a “volumizing lip gloss” that “matches Too Faced’s best-selling Lip Injection formula with twelve gorgeous shades of gloss.” It’s “infused with Lip Injection plumping technology.” And the “custom tapered applicator is designed to follow the natural lip shape for perfect application.”
The shade Flirt is described as a “pink mocha.”
Each 3.6 ml/0.12 oz tube of the gloss retails for $19

My Experience with Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Flirt

I use Too Faced’s eyelid primer on a daily basis and swear by their pigmented, buttery smooth shadows. Their lip products, however, are a new addition to my makeup collection. This gloss comes packaged in a baby pink box and the tube has golden accents and a crystal on top of its cap. The packaging, although a little amateur-looking for a department store product, is cute. I’m not the biggest fan of the applicator that the company thinks is so great, but more about that a little later!

Flirt, which is described as a “pink mocha” shade, looks like a pinkish-brown on me and gives sheer coverage. The gloss glides on the lips very smoothly and I usually have to wear two coats to get the desired coverage. This gloss feels very light on the lips and is never sticky. My lips feel a little tingly for about 15-20 minutes after I put this on, which is from the plumping ingredient in the product. It’s a very light tingle – perhaps, the lightest I’ve felt from any lip plumping product. The gloss’ smell can best be described as minty-honey; it’s a sweet minty smell that reminds me a little bit of honey.

I have pretty dry lips, and I find this gloss very moisturizing. You don’t need to apply chapstick or any lip balm before using these. They go on smooth even on dry lips and provide continuous hydration to them. The gloss lasts about 4-5 hours on me before I have to reapply. This lip gloss is not a supplement for collagen injections, but it a does a pretty good job of making lips look fuller. It’s certainly not the best lip plumping gloss I’ve ever tried, but it’s not totally useless in that department either.

Because the shade Flirt is so close to the natural color of my lips, this gloss is a great nude shade for me. I like wearing it on days I want a natural look or when I want to balance heavy eye-makeup with nude lips. It imparts a really pretty shine to the lips and does not contain any shimmer or glitter, which makes a great pick for daytime or office wear. I love that this never looks OTT or tacky (both in terms of stickiness and looking cheap 😛 )

The one major drawback is that the applicator, because it’s totally straight, makes applying the product on the upper lip a little difficult. Also, the opening of the tube is really narrow and a lot of the product gets stuck in it and doesn’t come up. I have to dip the wand into the tube about 4-5 times to get one layer of gloss on my lips. In the end, if the only complaint you have about is the packaging, you know you have a pretty good product. I’d definitely recommend this shade to everyone looking for a natural-looking gloss that is moisturizing and incredibly light on the lips.
