My Experience with Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer:

Packaging:
I am a huge fan of products with a pump hence I can say I love the packaging on this. The pump keeps the product with the least exposure to air and also keeps it hygienic. The pump disperser the right amount, 1 pump is all I need for my whole face.

Texture/Consistency:
This primer has a very lightweight, a very smooth creamy gel like consistency. It spreads easily and absorbs into the skin immediately. There is absolutely no greasiness or sticky residue left behind.

Feel on skin & Performance:
The way I see it is that this product performs just as lightweight moisturizer. My skin being normal to dry in the summers love the lightweight feel of this on my skin. For me, the benefits end there. The hydration is enough for my skin during this summer months when I refrain from using anything heavy but for the winter months when my skin is parched I feel like this product will not be sufficient alone to get rid of all my dry patches. This product does not do a lot for being a “primer”. Since it is silicone free which could be a plus for some but due to that it does not smooth out the texture of the skin, it does not blur or fill in pores nor does it help or adversely affect the staying power of my makeup.

I did see some glow on my skin post application but that is just due to fact that my skin got an extra boost of hydration. This did not give me the glow usually given my radiance or dewy primers. The finish it gives is very skin like, very natural-looking. It is not overly shiny or dewy.

Fragrance:
This product has a very refreshing scent of coconut water which I really like. The scent is not overpowering and fades after a while.

Overall, This is good product if you look at it as a “Lightweight moisturizer” and gives your skin a decent boost of hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy. I can see this product being loved by normal – dry or even combo skin types for this particular reason but as far as performance as a makeup primer regarding smoothing out skin, blurring pores and visibly improving the wear of your makeup, it does none of that. Hence, I will only recommend this product if you are looking to buy lightweight moisturizer and don’t expect a whole lot from it.

  1. Why does it not help with makeup’s staying power and does not improve skin texture? It’s a primer after all. :/

    1. Fir the record , regarding smoothing skin and filling in pores it never claims to do that either. About helping with staying power I did not notice any significant difference worth mentioning.. Frankly I was expecting much more
