Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Chocolate Milkshake Review

Too Faced Melted lipstick range is my favorite unconventional (by which, I mean, which does not come in the traditional bullet formula) lipstick formula of all time. I have numerous shades from this line, and I can honestly say, I love each and every one of them! When Too Faced released these same lipsticks in a new “Melted Chocolate” range, which has a lot of brownish n*de shades in their regular satin finish as well as shimmery/metallic finish, I knew it was only a matter of time before I added them to my collection.  Read on to know more about the Too Faced Melted Chocolate in the shade “Melted Chocolate Milkshake.”

What it does:  Too Faced gave its Melted and Melted Metal Liquified Lipsticks a makeover to create these six, cocoa powder-infused shades. Each chocolate-inspired shade comfortably coats lips with bursts of high-impact, saturated color, while an innovative, angled velvet tip allows for precise application. It features exclusive technology inspired by the molten form of lipstick during lab production to give these lipsticks a melted texture that imparts bold color and rich shine. Infused with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder and a mood-boosting chocolate scent, these lipsticks leave lips saturated with color while offering comfortable, flexible, and cushion-y wear.  It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

My Experience with Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Chocolate Milkshake:

Packaging:  These melted lipsticks come in a squeeze tube which when squeezed, disperse out the lipstick from the slanted applicator. Since I am used to this applicator now (having owned and used many lipsticks from this line), I find it easy to use and can also apply it with one hand. But for those who have never used something like this, it may take some time getting used to it. I find this packaging very lightweight, easy to carry, and travel friendly. I like how the color of the lipstick is reflected on the tube.

Texture:  These melted lipsticks apply smoothly on the lips. They have a silky feel to them.

Pigmentation:  This shade has great pigmentation even though it’s a light color. It gives me full opaque color in 1-2 layers. I don’t find the need to layer this over a lip liner to get an even-looking color.

Finish:  It has a very high shine semi-glossy finish initially, but after 3-4 hours, the shine does settle down to a soft sheen with a satin finish.

Shade:  The shade “Melted Chocolate” milkshake is a gorgeous warm-toned peachy n*de. This shade does not wash me out and is a very flattering n*de shade for my light-medium skin tone. Whenever I am in a need for a n*de lipstick to pair with a dark or bold eye look, I find myself reaching for this shade a lot.  If you are any deeper than medium skin tone, this may not be a flattering shade on you.

Feel and Look on lips:  These lipsticks are not too hydrating but they do not feel drying at all. They feel very comfortable on the lips and do not feel sticky or slippery. They do not accentuate fine lines or dry patches.

Staying Power:  Staying power of this lipstick is very good. This shade stays on my lips for 6 hours and will survive through minimal snacks and drinks with some fading. You will need a reapplication after a full meal.

Fragrance:  If you have ever had a chance to get a whiff of Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadows, these lipsticks have the same exact delicious chocolate scent. It takes all the will power I have, to stop myself from just licking the lipstick right off my lips, that’s how good it smells! 😛 For the fear of tempting you any further, I will stop elaborating on this now. Excuse me while go grab myself a chocolate now 😛

Overall, I absolutely love this range of lipsticks by Too Faced. Though I don’t see major difference in the regular line of melted lipsticks and this “melted chocolate” range, except for the addition of the delicious scent and obviously the n*de range of shades, they both perform equally well, in my opinion. I highly recommend this lipstick to all of you 🙂

• Does not dry out my lips.
• Does not accentuate fine lines or dryness.
• Feels very comfortable on the lips.
• Smells absolutely delicious, like chocolates.

Cons of Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Chocolate Milkshake:

• None for me.
