My Experience with Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer:

Packaging:
This bronzer comes in a beautiful, golden-bronze plastic case with design on top and a
generous sized mirror inside. There is no applicator provided with the packaging. The compact is very lightweight.

Texture:
This powder is very fine and ultra-smooth. It feels like silk when you touch it. There is no grittiness and it applies beautifully on the skin without streaking or blotching. The powder is not chalky, it blends seamlessly with the skin and becomes one. Hence it does not look like you have powder sitting on your skin. It does not cling to dry patches nor does it accentuate pores.

Shade & Finish:
The Too Faced chocolate bronzer comes in 3 shades – Chocolate Soleil which is for medium to deep skin tones, and Milk Chocolate Soleil and Dark Chocolate Soleil have been new additions designed for light skin and deep skin respectively. This is a warm toned bronzer, but it is not too orange. It is completely matte, but it does not make the skin look flat. It does not look muddy on the skin.

Milk Chocolate Soleil is a an absolutely perfect bronzer for very pale, fair and light skin tones that find traditional bronzers too contrasting with their skin tones. Since my skin tone falls in the category of Light-Medium (Mac NW23), I do think I am more suited for the original Chocolate Soliel, if I want the color to be visible against my skin.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review3

Milk Chocolate Soleil sort of disappears when blended on my skin, and hence I can only use it for doing very subtle and natural looking bronzing, which I honestly don’t mind. I am all up for natural makeup looks, hence I like this bronzer. I can do some subtle defining of my face with this bronzer, but I do have to apply it quite heavily for it to show up. I dust it around my hairline, under the jaw and under cheekbones. I like the fact that if I have a foundation which is a bit too light for me I can use this all over my face to give it some warmth.

Pigmentation:
The pigmentation is buildable. Maybe it is the fact that this bronzer is so similar to my skin tone I fail to see any color unless I use it heavily. I like this quality in a bronzer as you cannot go overboard with this. It is beginner friendly. But if you are someone with pale/light skin, I don’t think you will have any issue with this bronzer.

Staying Power:
This powder wears beautifully on the skin. I do not notice any apparent fading for the whole day which is about 7-8 hours for me.

Fragrance:
It smells absolutely delectable. The scent of chocolates is as authentic as it can be. I love it, but the scent is rather strong so if you are someone who is sensitive to scents or doesn’t like the scent of chocolates (I cannot imagine anyone who doesn’t like the smell of chocolates!), this may not be for you.

Overall:
I love this product. This shade should only be picked up by those with very pale/light skin tones as a bronzer. Those of you with light-medium skin tones can also use this for the most natural-looking bronzing. You can also use it all over your skin for some warmth or as a setting powder. I absolutely love the silky texture of this powder and the delicious chocolate scent. I will recommend this.
