My hair loves Tresemme products and the stuff from this brand always keeps my hair in place, and that’s why I am always excited about new launches from Tresemme. This “Botanique” range has two different types of shampoos and conditioners. Last month, I had picked up the whole range and today, I would be reviewing Botanique Detox and Restore shampoo. Let’s get into the review now 🙂

My Experience with TRESemme Botanique Detox and Restore Shampoo:
Like all the Tresemme shampoos, this one also comes in a long cylindrical bottle and this time, new Botanique range comes with a pretty green packaging with a press cap. The nozzle dispenses out perfect amount of product and it never messes around the cap. It also comes in various size options.
The shampoo is a colorless gel which is not too runny. It has a very fresh, pleasant yet strong smell which also stays for long on my hair. This smell has a nice herbal touch in it that I really like. Only a small amount of the shampoo is enough for my entire hair to create nice lather. It glides on my hair so smoothly and it lathers perfectly. It feels light and fresh on hair and never irritates my scalp. It is easy to rinse off too.
I have oily scalp with limp hair, so I always need some freshness in my mane. This shampoo does this job perfectly. It can clean all the oil and dirt from the roots of my hair and makes it feel clean. It also cleans up my oiled hair nicely with just two washes. My hair feels soft and smooth after using it. It is nice hydrating shampoo for my normal hair.
Now, I have naturally smooth and silky hair and it suits me well. It never makes my hair look dull or frizzy, but I always need to follow up with a conditioner to get smooth and frizz-free hair.
It actually can’t make hair frizz free by itself, you definitely need a conditioner to get desired results. I feel it is not super moisturising shampoo for extremely dry and damaged hair, but when combined with a conditioner, it does really make my hair smooth and soft. Also, as a detox shampoo, it repairs hair texture nicely and restores them well. The hydration provided by this shampoo is enough for me. It also keeps hair tangle free.
Usually, my hair looks limp after a few hours of washing during summers but this shampoo never weighs down my hair. I love the volume it provides. It actually keeps my hair bouncy. With conditioner, it works so well to keep my hair manageable.
One more thing that I have noticed is that it works on dandruff slightly. Now, I don’t have major dandruff issue, but after winter, I had noticed some dandruff and after using this shampoo regularly, it cleans them well. Also, I haven’t noticed any hair fall after using this. The only disappointment is that I didn’t notice any stunning results as the brand claims.
Overall, this is a nice detox shampoo that works nice on normal hair, but if you have really frizzy, damaged hair, you will need to use a really good conditioner to get best results. Also, it is a paraben-free shampoo and safel for colored hair too.

Actually, I like the other variant from Botanique range over this. So, if you want a fresh daily shampoo you can definitely try this, because with conditioner it works really nice.
