Somehow this winter my skin has been craving for cream based, yogurt and all sort of creamy masks and I decided not to buy any more clay masks. But then I stumbled upon this pack and could not resist myself to break my promise (to myself), and bought this face pack without thinking twice. So today I will reviewing a saffron and turmeric face pack by Dabur. We all have grown up using Dabur’s Gulabjal (Rose water) and now their ammonia free bleaches. So this was an instant buy the moment I noticed the presence of rose, sandalwood and turmeric in the ingredients list. Read on to know more about it.

Benefits: Saffron, turmeric and other ingredients rejuvenate your skin by removing the dead cells. Rose refreshes the skin, keeping it young and glowing.
Price: INR 60 for 60 gm (that’s 1 Re per gm 🙂 )
My Experience With Dabur Gulabari Saffron & Turmeric Face Pack:
So starting with the packing, the mask comes in a squeeze tube and the packing almost similar to other products from the Gulabari range. Earlier they used to have powder based packs in which they used recommend adding their own rose water, that strategy really worked. This on the other hand is a wet clay mask, no need to add anything, just squeeze out some amount and apply it all over you face.
Now coming to the best part which is its ingredients list, it contains goodness of rose, saffron, turmeric, sandalwood, aloevera, sesame oil, glycerin and a lot of herbal extracts in a base of mulatni mitti (fuller’s earth). So you see it is a very amazing blend of ingredients which our dadi ma used to rave about. There is nothing very fancy about the contents, we all are aware of their benefits but hardly use them. This is a one stop solution. The face pack has a very nice earthy smell of clay and is very easy to apply on face.
The face pack takes time to get dried, but even after drying it does not make your face stretchy (like cream based masks and this is another good thing) and this is because it contains glycerin, so post washing it leaves skin quite moisturised. The product claims fairness, but it does not make you fair overnight, so do not expect such results. But rather it makes you skin bright and radiant post usage (maybe that’s what they meant by fairness). It will not make you white/fair but will definitely make your skin glowing. It is recommended to use it 2-3 times in a week for best results. It also works best on open pores. It tames down the redness and helps in combating acne (but not severe acne).
Now coming to the downsides, it has some preservatives also along with good things (but I am ok with that). Another one is that it is only available in one size, as I have not seen any other variant.
