As I had mentioned in my earlier posts, I bought two shades in Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Crème Lipsticks and this is my second shade from the range. I am loving both these shades a lot, but this one is my favorite. I swatched a few more shades from this range and liked the shades Mauve Spot and Salmon State; I am now planning to buy them soon. 🙂 For now, let’s continue with the review.

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a shiny rose gold metallic body and it is safely packed in a same colored outer box. The cap shuts tightly and the packaging is quite sturdy. There is no ‘shade-detecting’ area in the packaging, if you have lots of them (which I am sure most of you do), you will have to check the bottom of the lipstick, where the shade name is mentioned.

My Take on Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Crème Lipstick in Wine Order:

Shade: Wine order is a very pretty shimmer-free wine color, with some pinkish undertones to it, which makes the color appears even more pretty and wearable for everyday. The shade is such that it will suit all skin tones and will brighten up complexion. You can wear it to offices as well as parties and informal outings.

Texture, Pigmentation and Finish: The texture of the lipstick is very creamy and glides like a dream on lips. The formula is very hydrating and comfortable. The lipstick claims to be ‘creaseless’ and it does live up to this claim, as it hides lip lines admirably in one single swipe.

The pigmentation of this shade is just awesome; it gives a complete opaque coverage in just 1 swipe. The lipstick won’t become cakey with layering, doesn’t bleed and doesn’t settle into fine lines. The color doesn’t emphasizes dry, flaky lips but it is always better to exfoliate your lips before applying any lip color, especially in winters. The finish of the lipstick initially appears creamy, but after 1.5-2 hrs, it settles into a creamy matte finish.

Staying Power: The shade lasted on me for 3.5 hrs without eating or drinking, the lipstick won’t survive any meals and will also transfer a lot onto surfaces. The shade stains once the creamy sheen of the lipstick fades. With meals and drinks, the stain also fades unevenly. So this lipstick is definitely not as long lasting as the company claims, but I personally feel that the lasting power is good enough for a hydrating creamy lipstick like this one.

Pros of Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Crème Lipstick in Wine Order:

• A very pretty wine shade with some pinkish hint to it, not very dark or gaudy color.
• This shade suits every skin tone and will brighten up the face instantly.
• Texture is very creamy and smooth; the lipstick glides on lips without dragging.
• It really does a good job at hiding lip flaws and deposits even color on lips.
• The shade is super pigmented and goes opaque in just one swipe.
• The final finish is somewhere between cream and matte, not very overly glossy neither completely powdery matte.
• The formula of the lipstick is very hydrating and comfortable on lips.
• Apt for dry and severely pigmented lips.
• The color neither settles in fines lines nor does it bleed.
• Considering it a creamy lipstick, the staying power is satisfactory.

Cons of Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Crème Lipstick in Wine Order:

• Transfers a lot to surfaces.
• The lasting power could have better. Doesn’t survive even small snacks. Will need a touch-up after eating anything.

Do I Recommend/ Re-purchase Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Crème Lipstick in Wine Order?

This is a lip color which every women should have! It’s a lovely shimmer-free wine shade and a creamy matte finish lipstick. Just look at the swatches and see for yourselves! This is a must-have shade for me and hence I would be definitely buying this again.
