I recently realised that all I had was lip balms and lip balms in my vanity. They are good for every day, but for some special occasions you need to have those glossy dazzling lips. So I got a lot of glosses recently in all the different shades. This time I tried to pick up something different from those regular pink ones. Maybelline Lip Polish has been liked by most of the ladies so thought of trying them. Let’s see how this subtle and sober shade worked for me.

Instructions For Use:

Apply lip color with applicator wand starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

My Experience with Maybelline Lip Polish – Glam 1:

These cuties have been in trend since sometime now, so I picked up 2 of these as I was out of glosses.

The lip polish comes in a small square shaped bottle. The bottle has a small lipstick bullet just to make the packaging look good and I love how it looks. We have many ranges, pop and glam in these, which covers almost all the shades needed. It is handy and fits anywhere.
The shelf life is pretty long that is 3 years because we don’t apply glosses every day, unless you are a hardcore lip gloss fan. Maybelline is one of the most affordable drugstore brands so no issue with the price because this will go for years.

The shade called Glam 1 is on the nude side. The colour is very pretty, with a peachy hint to it and that color looks soo feminine on the lips. It makes the lips look very natural. Of course the shade is not that intense like a lipstick as claimed, but I totally loved this shade. It gives a very soft look and perfectly suitable for romantic dates and outings, because the shade brings out the sweet feminine side of a woman.

It is wearable for any time of the day, be it night or day, on special occasions or every-day as well. It does contain shimmer but they don’t look ugly or cheap. The shimmer along with the shade is very subtle. It did make my lips look fuller and luscious as claimed and they look very proper in shape too.

It does give a boost of hydration to the lips and they will never feel dry at all. It is non sticky, unlike those other glosses that make your mouth stick together; nor does it feel heavy on the lips. It gives a dazzling sparkly shine that stays till the gloss stays. It settles in fine lines at times, but you will notice it only when observed very closely. It shows your chapped lips a bit, so remember to prep our lips before you wear these on.

It stayed on my lips for 3 hours without meals and I think that is pretty reasonable for a gloss. And then a touch-up is required to get that peachy colour again. I feel these are awesome and all of you should give them a chance to prove themselves!

Cons of Maybelline Lip Polish – Glam 1:

• The colour is not that intense as they state
• It has shimmer particles which will not harm you when you apply; but as the gloss goes all you have is shimmers over your lips
• It settles a little in the fine lines on your lips
• I wish they had some names
• Looks very uneven on initial application but settles in a minute

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Lip Polish – Glam 1?

Yes definitely. This is a perfect look to create a soft, natural and a feminine look. It looks glamorous on your lips and stays in place for a good time. I will surely get this once this gets over.
