Turquoise Blue And Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial

Turquoise Blue And Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello Pretty Ones!

I am back again with another tutorial for this festive season. Till date, all the tutorials I have done are subtle ones. So, I thought of doing a bold look today. This one is certainly not for the faint hearted 😉 So ladies, fasten your seat belts and get ready for this roller coaster ride 😀

Turquoise Blue And Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial

The look I chose today is achieved with an eye shadow quad I recently got and also the much-loved eye crayons. The quad is a local brand and might not be easily available, so I would suggest that you take note of the colors and use your favourite brand eye shadows for the same.  So, let’s get started! Here are the products used:

  • Lakme compact powder.
  • Eye shadow quad with white, turquoise blue, and purple shades.
  • Eye crayon in purple.
  • Streetwear eyeliner in blue.
  • VOV 2 color eye brow powder set.
  • Maybelline colossal kajal.
  • Maybelline hypercurl mascara.
  • Vega eye shader brush.
  • Camlin art brushes in No. 5 and 2.

Step 1:

Prime your eyes with your favorite primer or concealor. I just used Lakme Compact powder as usual.

Step 2:

Fill in your eye brows with a dark shade eye shadow. I used VOV 2 color eyebrow powder set, which I have already reviewed here earlier and with that I used my humble Camlin art brush.

Step 3:

Take the white eye shadow and blend it under your brow bone. I also blended a little all over the eyelid as I was not sure of the pigmentation of the blue one. I thought having a white base would bring out the blue more.

Step 4:

Now, take the blue eye shadow and apply it on the inner half of your eye lid.

Step 5:

Then, take the purple eye shadow and blend it in the outer half of the lid. Do not go above the crease. Like this:

Step 6:

Now, grab hold of the purple eye crayon and draw a  “V” on the outer corner of your eye.  You can use any dark-colored purple eye shadow for the same.  Like this:

Step 7:

Take your flat eye shadow brush and blend in the crayon line going inwards.

Step 8:

Now, take a matte brown eye shadow and use your fluffy brush to blend it in the crease. My “fluffy” bush here is Camlin brush no. 5 😛

Step 9:

Take a dark blue liquid eyeliner and draw a thick line on your upper lashline. This is where I had a terrible experience. I didn’t realize that my eyeliner had expired and it stung like hell when I applied it, but I had to complete this tutorial, so I went on with the pics. Please pardon the blotchy line ( I threw away the devil liner 🙁

16

Step 9:

Finally, apply kajal, mascara and curl your lashes ( I did not curl them this time). Use the purple eyeshadow left on your flat brush and dab it in the inner corner of the lower lash line. That way, you won’t be wasting any eye shadow and this is how it should look!

This is a very dramatic look, but you can always tone it down by applying a black base (instead of white) all over your eyelid before applying the colored shadows. That would tone down the blues and purples and make them more wearable.

Finally, the FOTD 😛 I just added a coral lipstick with the bold eyes. I did not want to to be that winged, but I just could not help it, the natural line of my eyes is that way, everything ends up ”winged” 😛

I do hope you would try it at least with a black base to get a toned-down version of this.  Enjoy the festivities ladies! Let me know what you are planning to wear this navratra and durga puja so that I can work up eye make up looks for you! 😀

See ya next time. Keep smiling, keep glowing!
