TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk Review

Hello Ladies,

How did the week go for you guys. Today, I am reviewing a product from TVAM. Its the Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk.  Let’s see how it fared for me:

TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk Review

Product Description:

TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk is suitable for sensitive and delicate skin.  It is a gentle cleanser enriched with Vitamin A, D, E and plant extracts. This cleanser removes environmental impurities while nourishing the skin with almond oil and extracts of Neem and basil with cucumber water. A very versatile lotion for cleansing, yet gentle enough to remove makeup as well. It is also used as a hand and body lotion.

Active Ingredients:

Cucumber, Almond Oil, Holy Basil, Aloe Vera, Neem, Green Tea Extract, Lotion Base Q.S

Cucumber Cleansing Milk

How To Use:

Dispense a small amount on your hand and apply over the face and neck. Then lightly wet your hand and massage all over the face and neck. Rinse with water. This can also remove eye makeup.

Price:

Rs. 865.26 for 190 ml.

My Experience with TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk:

I learnt about the TVAM line of products through IMBB. I wanted to try their products. When I saw that they are being sold on an online shopping site at a discounted price, I didn’t give a second thought. I ordered a face wash, this cleanser and the Rose Face Pack, which I have reviewed here.

I received only 2 products as they said the face wash was out of stock. Both the products did not have manufacturing or expiry date on them 🙁 Anyway, I decided to go ahead and use it.

Cleansing Milk

The cleanser is a pale pista green thick lotion. It has a faint cucumber smell to it.

On the days when I am very tired and do not have the patience to do my full CTM routine, I take some of this cleanser on a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face, concentrating around eyes to remove my kajal. Then, I splash some warm water on face and I am good to hit the bed. It hydrates the face, so I can skip my night cream (I do this occasionally though). It does not irritate my skin or eyes.

Though it is good at removing traces of kajal and compact, its not very effective in removing water proof/resistant makeup like mascara, eyeliner and all. I tried to remove one of my waterproof eyeliner with this. I had to swipe multiple times and still it did not remove the eyeliner completely. I could see flecks of it around my eyes.

As they have mentioned, I tried to use this as a hand and body lotion, but it is a little less for my liking and needs more time to get absorbed into skin. Also, it leaves a slight sticky feel after using.

Pros of TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk:

  • Mild cleanser which works if you have not much makeup on your face.
  • Leaves face soft.
  • Does not irritate skin or eyes even if it gets inside.
  • Hydrates the skin.

Cons of TVAM Cucumber and Basil Cleansing Milk:

  • Expensive for a cleanser.
  • Does not remove waterproof makeup completely.
  • Complete ingredient list is not mentioned.
  • Does not work as a hand and body lotion as they have mentioned.

Overall Verdict:

This is a mild cleanser which gives a quick cleansing to your face when you need to feel fresh, rather than a makeup remover as claimed by them.

    1. I know..I wanted to return the product after finding out there was no expiry date mentioned. But didn’t want to go through the mess of returning it 🙁
