One day, I saw a colleague at the work place applying a cream to her hands from a lovely black, white and red tube. Since, I could not immediately place that packaging, I asked her what it was. Only to have her launch into a “10 min” praise filled soliloquy 😛 By the end of it, I was pretty convinced to buy the cream for myself and here you have a review of the Udderly Smooth Hand Cream. My Experience with Udderly Smooth Hand Cream:

I googled a little bit as I had never heard of this brand. I found that the Udderly Smooth products were first developed by a pharmacist for use on dairy cows. They have been in the market for over 30 years now and are used by people worldwide for dry and chapped skin.

Packaging:  I love the simple yet striking black and white imagery which immediately reminds you of cow and everything dairy 😛 The packaging is a simple easy-to-use plastic tube with a flip top cap. The cap shuts tightly and you can surely travel with this tube. But, I find the 4 oz tube slightly bulky to carry every day in my bag.

Texture:

The cream is of a medium thick consistency and I just love how easily it gets absorbed into the skin – almost like butter. This is because it is a water-based moisturizer.  It feels quite light on the skin and the first time I applied it, I was a bit skeptical about its hydrating properties, but I am glad that I was wrong. It moisturizes my hands very well and I am left with well-hydrated soft hands. It does not leave behind any greasy residues either.

Fragrance:

Though I cannot exactly put my finger on what that fragrance is, it reminds me a lot of baby products. This might be a downside for those who do not like this kind of fragrance. I for one simply love this mild fragrance. The fragrance does not stay for too long though.

In short, I would say it is a nice value-for-money product which I have absolutely not regretted buying. It is a product which will stay by my side all year long for soft pleasant smelling hands.
