Today, I am going to review a blush by ULTA. Please don’t laugh after reading my statement but this is my first blush 😛 Again, this was a gift :shying: by one of my friends who was returning from the US. After having used this, now, I am addicted to blushes and want them in all colours. Let’s take a detailed review of the same:
Product Being Reviewed:
ULTA Cheek Colour in Sweet Cheeks.
7$ for 3.7 gms. It comes a small compact kind of case which has a transparent lid which snaps shut. It does not have any applicator brush and no mirror also. Though it is very small, sturdy and travel friendly, still I didn’t like the packaging much owing to no brush and mirror.
Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Polyethylene, Dimethicone, Nylon-12, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Bismuth Oxychloride, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide, Manganese Violet, Carmine, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Ultramarines, Yellow 5 Lake, Red 6, Red 7 Lake, Red 30 Lake, Red 40 Lake
Please note that the ingredients are not mentioned on the product, I took the list from the website of ULTA.
Long-wearing silky powder that glides across your skin giving skin a fresh, natural glow.
My Take on ULTA Cheek Colour in Sweet Cheeks:
I have already described the packaging above. It is a lightweight and easy to apply blusher. It comes as a pressed powder which is peachy pink in colour, pink being more dominant. The blusher also has good pigmentation, just 2-3 swipes and I get a nice pinkish rosy glow on the face. It blends super easily without being cakey/chalky. Also, once you open the lid, you can see obvious shimmer particles, but on the face, they come out to be really subtle, no shimmery, sparkling, glittery, chunky shine. The application is very smooth. It stays on easily for 4-5 hours on the face. Also, my skin type is sensitive, oily, acne-prone and this product never broke me out. I applied it when I had a few zits, but it did not aggravate them also. At this price, it pretty much delivers good. I would recommend this to all beautiful ladies.
Pros of ULTA Cheek Colour in Sweet Cheeks:
- Available in 12 different shades.
- Cute and sturdy packaging and the surface area is broad enough to swirl the brush nicely unlike thin-stripped blushers.
- Smooth application and blends easily.
- Shimmers though seem over the top in the pan, but come out very subtle on the face and hence instantly brighten up the face.
- Reasonably priced.
- Staying power is decent, around 4-5 hours.
- Did not break me out and I have oily and acne-prone skin which is quite sensitive.
- Not tested on animals.
Cons of ULTA Cheek Colour in Sweet Cheeks:
- Brush and mirror is not provided.
- Availability is a problem, people residing in US or having friends/acquaintances/relatives can get it but for others, it is not easily available.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase ULTA Cheek Colour in Sweet Cheeks?
Definitely, I will recommend and repurchase.
