I have been a silent reader of IMBB since May 2010. I believe I was looking for a review of a TBS product, when I came across a Google link that led me to IMBB. My first reaction was a bit of an apprehension, considering I had not come across any Indian beauty blog before, let alone trust one. I, with my one eye closed and another half closed, opened the link and for some reason trusted what it said about the product which I think was some face moisturizer or something by TBS. Well, to my surprise, the review turned out to be every bit a truth. Ever since, I have been hooked on to IMBB. Now, this blog has become an inseparable part of my life and I believe it is safe to say that without IMBB, I would not have had half of the things in my skin care and makeup routine. Anyway, I am your “20 something” average girl, a bit quirky, with a weird sense of humor :D, a few nanometers away from becoming a shopaholic. I am a bit (okay a lot) chirpy, fully capable of talking my (and everyone else’s) hearts and ears out. A little bit of Grammar Nazi, in all languages that I know (covers her head). By the way, did I tell you I loooooooooooooove eye make up? Explains a lot why my first ever post is going to be about an eye product 😛 Without further ado, here’s what I feel about this eyeliner. I came across this beauty from Urban Decay on my last trip abroad. I was shuffling through Sephora when I saw this eyeliner sitting on their UD corner and a purple eyeliner sucker that I am, I couldn’t help but pick it up!

My Experience with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Psychedelic Sister:
Packaging: Like all 24/7 Glide On eye pencils by UD, this one also comes in a pencil form with a silver cap. The entire pencil is color coded which makes it very easy to pick it up from your dressing table when you are in a hurry. The cap shuts tight with a click, which helps in keeping the creamy tip from breaking.
Shade: The shade is called “Psychedelic Sister” and is described as a bright purple cream. I cannot tell you how much I adore this color. It is a true purple with pinkish undertones. It has very fine, I believe, pink and silver shimmer. They give a psychedelic sheen to it, that’s why probably the name! To sum up, it is a very pretty purple, would look great on light brown to hazel eyes. It could be too popping for very dark eyes.
I have been using this eyeliner for about a month now and I can safely say that this is the most pigmented eye pencil I have ever used, one swipe and it gives off true color. You can opt for two to three swipes if you want to deepen up the color. It is creamy as heck and settles rather fast i.e. 30 seconds tops, so one has to be real quick when using it for a smokey eye or when you are going to smudge it. It is really long lasting. I wore it in the morning at around 7 and when I came back at around 3-ish in the evening, it was still there, without too much fading, but I was wearing it with an eye primer underneath.
Without a primer, it would last for around 6-7 hours on my dry eyelids, so it is kind of a “win-win” situation. Application is real smooth without any tugging or pulling. It does not irritate eyes when applied on waterline, although there it lasts for only 4-5 hours. It is a sharpen-able pencil which leads to product wastage, but at the same time is much more hygienic than retractable pencils, so I don’t mind it this way.
Overall, I love this eye pencil by Urban Decay.

- Does not pull or tug on the lids.
- Long lasting.
- Smooth, very creamy texture.
- Does what it claims.

- Does not irritate eyes.
- Travel friendly.
Cons of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Psychedelic Sister:
- Some people may find it expensive, but I feel that in comparison with other high-end brands, it is cheaper.
- Unavailability In India (Seriously UD! Why? * Headbang *)
- This shade is easily dupe-able.
Would I Repurchase Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Psychedelic Sister?
I think I would check out other less dupe-able colors from the range.
Would I Recommend Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Psychedelic Sister?
I think I would suggest to opt for unique colors from this range, but if you’re a sucker for purple eye products like me, then go for it 😛
