Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil – Zero/Corrupt Review

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil – Zero/Corrupt Review

Urban Decay is known for its great eye products – especially the N*ked palattes, the 24/7 Glide on eye pencils. So, along with everyone else, I too jumped on the UD bandwagon to try my first UD product. How did it fair? Let’s find out:

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil

Product Information:

If you are already a fan of our 24/7 Eye Pencils, this is one little gem you won’t want to miss. It packs the amazing staying power and unbeatable glide of our creamy 24/7 Glide-On formula into a compact, two-in-one format. A master of convenience, this travel-friendly duo features the two most convenient shades ever to share a pencil barrel – rich brown and our award-winning black. (After all, who doesn’t need these super versatile basics in their beauty arsenal?)

When we first introduced our original Naked Palette (maybe you’ve heard of it?), we created this pencil to go with it. Eventually, we loaded the Naked Palette with a brush instead, but people BEGGED us to sell the pencil on its own. This is now the ONLY way you can get these essential shades together in one pencil.  With their amazing staying power and unmatched color payout, our 24/7 Eye Pencils are one of the things we’re known for. Creamy and waterproof, this highly saturated formula glides on and stays put no matter what you put it through. (Trust us, we have tried it all.)

You will definitely want this set for yourself, but don’t forget that it makes a great gift too – so be sure to stock up. It’s even packaged in a clear outer box to showcase the two must-have shades inside. No wrapping required!

Price:

$16 in US.  Paid some INR 1200 for this.

Nothing special about the packaging. It’s a regular sharpenable pencil – dual ended with a transparent cap on each side.

My Experience with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil – Zero/Corrupt:

Colour:  The colour “Zero” has been reviewed earlier on IMBB.  It’s black but not really an
intense or rich one. Same is the case with the shade “Corrupt” – it’s a chocolate brown, but not too intense or rich. While Zero is matte black, Corrupt is a brown with bit of glitter particles in it.  It’s great to have the basic black and brown covered in one pencil. However, since the shades are not super intense, it’s a bit of a downer. The colours could be used to do a smokey eye effect.

Texture: The texture is smooth and creamy. As the name suggests, it glides on the eyelids smoothly. The colour deposits easily, even on my oily lids.

Pigmentation:  I did not find pigmentation to be great – it needs a double swipe (if not more). Considering the colours are dark shades, you would have expected better pigmentation from them.

Staying Power:  I have I tried this with and without an eye primer. Without the eye primer, the colour stayed for about 4.5-5hours on my oily lids. With eye primer, I was able to extend the wear time by another hour. But I did not find this spectatucular results. Imagine, in half a day, your liner has smudged and disappeared on you. On the undereye waterline area, it lasts for only a couple of hours.

Cons of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil – Zero/Corrupt:

  • Availability of Urban Decay products in India.

  1. Hey KK, u know somehow all the products u review are on my wishlist! Such a great choice of products!
    Thanks for the review darling…!

    1. They are basic staples but without the intensity, its a miss. This is the problem with not being able to try high ed products. Had i swatted it, i probably wouldn’t have picked it.

  2. Zero is definitely overhyped in my opinion…but I didn’t know Corrupt’s color pay-off is so poor! Eeks! I hope I can convince you to give these another shot. Try Perversion, it’s one of the deepest black pencils on the market. As for the brown shades from UD, they rarely pop on my lids, with the exception of Bourbon, but only because it has gold specks.
In short, don’t give up on these babies so soon! And thanks for the heads up…I’m staying away from this combo!

      1. i only like nak*d 3, because the other two are too neutral and people like you (and me too) who like bold shades may not like the 1 and 2 in longer run, on the other 3 has rosy shades so can be used more often…

        1. Thanks for the recco Sumera! I think I will not order online. I’d rather wait to swatch them in person OR try them on the eyelid before taking a call! Thanks for the head’s up!
