What it is: An innovative lip formula, now in an array of shades and finishes—encased in a sleek, faceted case.
What it does: Get unbelievable laydown of color with just one swipe of Vice Lipstick. It features an array of addictive shades and six indulgent finishes—including 20 shades that are Sephora exclusives, in shades that range from bold brights to dark hues to versatile neutrals. Each shade applies smoothly (without dragging or skipping), hugs lips, and feels ultra-comfortable. Urban Decay’s proprietary Pigment Infusion System™ gives the formula its super-creamy texture, rich payout, and superior color dispersion.
This creamy formula is packed with nourishing ingredients. A butter blend comforts, hydrates, and enhances, leaving lips soft and conditioned, and never dry. Aloe vera, jojoba, avocado, and babassu oils nourish and soften lips. Illipe butter, derived from Malaysian illipe trees, provides long-lasting moisture, while the vitamins C and E deliver a hint of antioxidants.
My Experience with Urban Decay Cruel Metallized Vice Lipstick :
Vice lipsticks come in modernized, luxed-up version of original Urban Decay lipsticks. And the shade matched label makes it easier to pick our desired shade considering all 100 lipsticks are encased in same classic golden metallic bullet packaging. The difference I see is that the metallic cap goes all the way down till base (unlike till the middle in old packaging) and sometimes I fear I might drop the lipstick from my hands while pulling it all the way up.
“Cruel” is described as metallic finish red with copper shimmers which is true to its description as it comes up as earthy toned red on my skin tone with subtle copper and multicolor shimmer. I like how it imparts perfect shimmery metallic finish to lips with saturated pigmentation; shimmers are not OTT nor does it look frosty on lips. However, it imparts bit sheer to medium coverage which makes it bit tricky for beauties with deep pigmented lips while it is pigmented enough to cover my light pigmented lips. The creamy yet light-weight finish makes it promising for every beauty, including beauties with mild-deep pigmented lips as we can easily conceal our flaws with combination of a lip liner and this lipstick.
Texture wise I am very impressed with this shade as it is pigmented and creamy among all the shades available in this metallic finish range. It does tug a bit on my normal/dry lips considering it has slightly chunky shimmers but it comes up smooth on lips with even tone saturated finish. I like how it manages to let go of minor dryness of my lips thereby imparting a smooth pigmented juicy color pay off which stays put for good hours.
Oh yes, it stays for good 5-6 hours on my lips with mild transferring and fading a bit from centre of lips especially with light snacks or meal but I am always ready for touch ups. I like its partly hydrating creamy formula as well which does not seems settling in lip lines or emphasizing them further; in fact it does not bleed or feathers much. Moreover I never find it overtly drying for my lips as it comfortably sits on my lips for considerable hours. I just love that molten earthy red finish it imparts on lips with that juicy high shine which seems perfect for any party or festive makeover. I quite like the fact that it does not make me stand out or scream attention yet making a bold statement with elegance and poise. I would definitely get it again and recommend it to everyone regardless of your liking for metallic finish products; you need to own this jazzy red to pump up boring life and evenings, I bet! Let’s sum up pros and cons,
