We are also planning a grand desi meetup on Diwali, and I will get to wear my newly purchased saree and jewellery one more time. Yay! Anyway, today I am here to talk about my next purchase from Urban Decay. We have talked about beautiful, fuller, arched brows several times and hence after lip products, these brow grooming products are suddenly compiling my vanity. 😛 And thanks to these brands who always come up with easy peasy grooming products for messy people like me.

I mean my days are hectic, like any busy mom’s. You bet these schools always have ideas to drive us crazy with those Halloween, potluck or Thanksgiving plans! So you see, I need to look my best (by the time hubby arrives home), not to forget have to clean up the mess from the home and my daughter’s face as well. Hence I always look out for such quick, easy beauty products like this one.

My Experience with Urban Decay Dark Brow Beater Microfine Brow Pencil and Brush:

The brow beater pencil & brush comes in a sleek and smart metallic pen packaging with a retractable lead pencil and a spoolie brush at either ends with a tight cap. Over all it is quite user friendly & travel friendly, apart from being slim enough to fit inside the clutch.

Urban Decay launched 4 shades of this micro fine pencil, and considering my darker brows, I picked up this shade “Dark” which is a match made in heaven for my brows. The shade quickly blends in with my skin and eye brows to give naturally fuller, arched look with no harsh lines and/or made up look. I also think that the texture & formula of this brow beater is much more creamy and blendable than my other brow pencils somehow.

I mean a gentle stroke of pencil gives sufficient color payoff to my oily skin and stays put for several hours. Impressive, huh? All I need is few gentle strokes on upper arches of my brow following the natural brow line till end of my eye brows. Thereby, I brush off extra product off my brows and voila I am done with it. However I am yet to master the perfect arched brow look, but I am so relieved to see that the brow beater does most of my task.

It effortlessly slides on my brows without leaving any weird waxy finish; in fact it looks more pigmented with subtle hint of wax unlike other brow pencils. The spoolie brush, however, seems like any good spoolie brush as I am most impressed with the results. My half an hour long eyebrow grooming task now gets completed within 5 minutes. Like I always say, we cannot go wrong with these micro fine pencils because they feel and give closer to natural color of our skin without being waxy or harsh.

Moreover the product stays for good 8+ hours on my oily skin; I can see fuller brows for decent hours even after removing makeup off my skin. The only issue so far I have experienced is that I often end up breaking the tip of this brow beater due to its creamy soft texture. But it is also because I was putting way more pressure than required. Thankfully it is still stiff enough to deposit decent amount of color at a time, and does not leave a thick, lumpy waxy residue. Hence I am hopeful that this pencil is a savior for every beginner like me.

I would definitely recommend it to every gal especially for quick fixes since it applies really smooth with literally no waxy finish, just fuller arched brows. I would definitely get it again considering its price and results.
