This review will be on the brand new release – Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in the shade Liar.
About The Product:
A super creamy lipstick with a sheer, shiny finish and richly pigmented color.
What it does:
Urban Decay’s Sheer Revolution Lipstick is everything you love about the original Revolution lipstick, but with a sheer, shiny finish. Every shade features a rich, creamy feel and a gorgeous, high-shine finish. Like Urban Decay’s original formula, this sheer lipstick hugs lips, sweeping on with an ultra-smooth, budge-free application.
Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™ gives Sheer Revolution its creamy texture, ultimate color dispersion, and extended wear. Infused with a nourishing blend of oils and antioxidants Maxi-Lip™, it defines and hydrates lips while making them look plumper and fuller. Shea butter, jojoba, olive, and babassu oils moisturize and condition, while vitamin C and vitamin E provide a dose of antioxidants.

My Experience with Urban Decay Liar Sheer Revolution Lipstick:
As you know from the preview I posted a while back, I got 8 of the new Urban decay Sheer revolution lipsticks. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying using them.
This lipstick comes has a very similar tube as the original Revolution lipsticks. The only difference is that the Revolution lipstick has gunmetal-color tube whereas the Sheer revolution has a very glossy light purple tube which does make it different from the original.
This lipstick has a very smooth, silky texture and they just glide on. I feel that this product is a cross between a lipstick, gloss and a lip balm. Texture -wise, it feels very similar to a lip balm with its smooth silky, very hydrating texture. It has a very high shine finish like a gloss and yet it does pack a very good deal of color for being a “sheer” lipstick.
Pigmentation & Finish:
The pigmentation of this lipstick is very good. You do need 2 coats to get a smooth even application of color. It does deliver almost 75-80% opacity which is good enough to cover pigmented lips. The finish is very glossy looking which makes the lips look so plump and juicy. It also smooths out the texture of the lips.
The shade Liar is a very beautiful pinky brown. This is the perfect MLBB shade on me. This is one of those lipsticks which is very low maintenance I can just apply and go ; even with no other makeup on.
The staying power of this lipstick is okay. It does transfer a bit. The glossy finish stays on the lips for about 3 hours after which it settles down to a satin finish. The color doesn’t last very long. At the most, I can get 4 hours of wear and it fades quicker, if I happen to eat or drink a few times. It will definitely not survive a full meal. It does not leave behind any stain.
It has a very pleasant scent, nothing overpowering. Overall, I love this lipstick. I love how pigmented these are for being a “sheer” lipstick. The high glossy finish and the very hydrating texture and feel are all plus points. I am not very impressed by the staying power; that it the only con for me.
I will recommend this product and this particular shade if you are looking for an MLBB shade.
