Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes are a major hit in the makeup community so I was super excited to give the Naked Flushed palette a try! I went ahead and chose the one called Strip since I could not make up my mind in which one I want and plus its one of the newest shades added to the collection.
What it is:
A silky bronzer, highlighter, and blush in a sleek, travel-ready compact.
My Experience with Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip
The Packaging of the Naked Flushed palette is sleeker than ever. It is small and compact and it is PERFECT for traveling. All three products: blush, highlight, and bronzer are in this single palette which makes it super convenient for storage and even better for traveling. It also comes with a decent sized mirror which is also convenient. This palette is so versatile, you can either use all three shades individually or blend them together to give you a perfect glow on the cheeks. Either way, you cannot go wrong.
Starting from the left, the first shade is the bronzer which is in the biggest portion out of the three. The bronzer is a deep brown and bronze color with slight hints of shimmer. This shade kind of crumbles up when picking it up with the brush but once you tap out the excess I usually do not have a problem. I love to apply this shade to the hollows of my cheeks to give a nice sculpted look. I have absolutely no hassle in blending out this bronzer since it goes on smooth. It is a bit too powdery so I have to be careful not to create a mess on my face.
The middle shade is the highlight shade. It is a shimmery golden shade with light hints of a champagne color. This is a beautiful shimmery color which I love to apply to my cheek bones. It gives a very nice glow to the face but it does look over the top, just perfect.
The last shade is the blush. It is a deep pink shade which is matte. This color is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I have made the mistake of using too much and then regretting it later. You only need a little and then blending it out is the key. All the shades have a nice texture to it but it definitely is not as “smooth and silky” as they describe. Either way, it does not cause a problem for me since it gives such a nice glow to the face. It is very long lasting, it will last me the entire time that I am wearing it. I was kind of skeptical purchasing this online thinking what if the shades do not go well with my skin tone, but I lucked out and all the shades go perfectly with my skin. Overall, I enjoy using this palette a lot and I have been reaching out to use this ever since I received it. Some may have a problem with the minor flaws but I am the kind of person that liked to focus more on the Pros than the Cons so I definitely will continue to use this.
Pros of Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip
-Very pigmented shades.
-Easy to blend.
Cons of Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip
-The bronzer is a bit too powdery.
-Not as “silky” as they claim.
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5 I deducted half a point because they can definitely try and work on the bronzer to make it less powdery.
Would I repurchase Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip?
Even though I really like this palette, I woud not repurchase this mainly because I know this will last me a long enough time and also because I would like to try the other shades in this Flushed collection such as: Streak, Native, and Naked. They all seem fab colors.
