My Experience with Urban Decay Streak Revolution Lipstick:
The Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks come in their signature metallic white gold bullet packaging with navy blue metallic case inside. They are fragrance free and I like the fact that bullet cap opens midway unlike in their latest Vice lipsticks to make it a mess free, user friendly and travel friendly packaging.
My shade “Streak” is described as coral pink shade while it comes up bit warm toned carnation pink on my skin tone. I mean it is more tending to bright pink unlike coral hues and I like it that way as I have enough of corals already. I find it suitable for most Indian fair-light/pale skin tone beauties. Coming over to the texture “Revolution” range seems quite pigmented and buttery glossy to me as this particular lipstick has effortless slip while it glides easily on my dry lips.
It has creamy gel type of formula which feels light-weight and non-cakey on lips even with multiple swipes; it requires two swipes for me to get full color pay off though. It can be a co-incidence that like its name “streak” it does appear bit streaky at times while pursing lips together lol however it soon adjusts and appear seamless, saturated and even toned on lips minutes after application.
Considering its bit streaky and glossy semi-translucent finish it might be tricky for deep pigmented lips though I find it perfect for my mild pigmented lips. In fact, it sits comfortably on my dry lips for considerable hours which mean it easily forgives minor dryness and/or pigmentation. Moreover, it does not bleed or feathers around lip lines; it does not set in lip liner either. It is also quite impressive that it never accentuated nor emphasized dry lips issues so far.
It is just that it transfers heavily and stays for 4-5 hours maximum fading onto subtle pink sheen on lips. To sum it up for you I definitely liked the glossy, saturated and intense color pay off of this lipstick despite bit streaky finish while I wish it stayed longer than 5 hours (on an average).
I would definitely recommend it to every fair/light beauties regardless of dry or pigmented lips. I might check other shades in this range as I have enough pink lipsticks in my stash.
