Hi All,

Vaseline Moisture Locking cream is the second product that I will be reviewing from the Vaseline Intensive Rescue collection. It is a fast absorbing cream that has been formulated especially for dry skin. It does get absorbed instantly as it claims and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. It’s not greasy and has a very light texture and consistency. Compared to the Rescue and Repair balm from the same collection, this one does not leave your skin with a shiny sheen. The cream gets absorbed within minutes and you won’t even know that you have applied the cream. I find it ideal to put it on after a shower. It leaves your skin feeling soft for quite a few hours.

The smell – It is unfragranced like the other products from this collection (there is a very mild smell though – nothing unpleasant however. The smell reminds me of the dry skin emollient creams from the brand E45). I am okay with it however as I am very sensitive to strong sweet smells and prefer milder scents or unfragranced ones. You can notice the smell when you are applying the cream but it does not linger on later.
What Vaseline Moisture Locking Cream claims?
The Vaseline Moisture Locking cream is clinically proven to soothe and relieve very dry and stressed skin symptoms. Its fast absorbing formula restores and locks in the moisture your skin needs to repair itself leaving it soft and smooth.
Directions for use: Apply liberally all over the body
Price/Quantity: £4.48 for a 250ml tub
Pros of Vaseline Vaseline Moisture Locking Cream:
1. It has occlusives which help to lock moisture in all day.
2. It is hypoallergenic so is good enough for sensitive skin.
3. It is unfragranced.
4. It has glycerine which instantly increases the moisture in the skin.
5. Immediate results – skin feels so smooth after applying the cream.
Cons of Vaseline Moisture Locking Cream:
1. Contains parabens.
2. Contains alcohol.
3. I think it has not been launched in India yet.
Final verdict: I really loved this cream. My skin tends to dry especially in cold climate and I am always on the lookout for products that will keep the skin hydrated for a long time. This one has worked well for me. So I will be using it until something else catches my fancy 🙂
Rating : 4.5 out of 5
Will I repurchase?
Yes – I will buy this again. Instant moisturisation of the skin on application. Skin stays moisturised for 5-6 hours.
Cheers,
Dee

Hi Dee,
Its available in India and am using the same one, but only its a lotion and its the best i have used till now ..it keeps skin soft and smooth for a very long time..and the best part is its not greasy at all ..i also use the same on my feet every night which keeps my feets too soft and supple…those who have dry sking should really try it…and yes i have not seen the cream tubs only the lotion which comes in a big bottle..
