Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover Review

Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover Review

Hey gals,

How are you doing today? I am back with with a product which is essential in personal grooming. There are plenty of hair removal treatments and products in the market like epilators, laser treatments, shavers, hair removal creams, etc. I have tried almost every treatment except the laser and I personally like waxing over all other methods, but since I am not able to wax very often, I rely on hair removal creams.  I am still searching for my HG epilator.  I am quite skeptical about using creams, but still, I tried this Veet Spray On Cream.  So, here’s more about this hair removal cream.

Packaging:

This off-white foamy hair removal cream comes in an opaque and sturdy can packaging with spray on nozzle opening and safety cap.  It doesn’t have any prominent nauseating smell like other urea and ammonia infused hair removal products.  There’s a rose scent, which lingers on for quite a few minutes post usage. Overall, it’s quite an user friendly and fragrant hair removal product (good for sensitive noses also).

My Experience with Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover:

As I stated earlier, after my horrific experience with Nair Hair removal cream, I was slightly skeptical about using hair removal creams, but I am glad I got this Veet Spray On Cream since it is really good and not like my previous hair removal creams. It comes with a handy cute spatula which is actually not needed since this cream works like a spray. I simply need to spray it 2 cm away from the body part and it leaves a thick layer of cream over the skin which requires approximately 3 minutes – 6 minutes (maximum limit) leave-on time. Usually, it takes approximately 5 minutes to clear arm pit hair and soft hair around the bikini line while legs need full 6 minutes for clean and easy removal.

However working with this spray on cream in shower might be really dangerous since it tends to make the floor slippery.  Anyway, I do not feel any burning or itching even if I keep the cream on my skin for full 6 minutes. Moreover, I hate that nauseating urea smell while putting on hair removal creams which makes me sick, but thankfully, this cream does not have that smell.  In fact, it smells like fresh roses and I can wait even for minutes while working on it.

The end results are also good, not great though, but at least I do not suffer those burning bumpy reactions post shower. I use soft cloth to gently remove hair and do not suffer from any itching or burning sensation on the skin post shower though using the spatula often accentuates itching and hence I normally skip it. However, like any cream treatment, it also simply removes hair from the outer epidermis and not from the hair shaft as I can still notice teeny black hair on the hair shaft which usually grows within a week of using this cream. Yes, it is slightly disappointing to see hair re-growth within a week though it is very minute and usually happens to start with legs and not on the bikini line. We can still enjoy hair free, soft skin for at least 1.5 weeks. Comparing it to my previous Nair hair removal creams, I feel this one is much better than those in every aspect as it does not cause itching and burning while layering it on skin and does not either cause any reactions post removal.  Secondly, its spray on usage is really helpful for novices and beginners.  Last but not the least, the refreshing rose scent certainly overpowers that nasty urea smell. I would highly recommend this hair removal cream to everyone considering it is safe for even sensitive skin and noses.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover:

  • A spray on foamy hair removal cream infused with the goodness and aroma of velvet rose oil and other essential oils.
  • Does not cause any itching or burning while layering on skin.  Also does not cause itching post hair removal.
  • Does not rip the moisture off skin, I get silky and smooth skin afterwards.
  • Mess-free application.
  • Effective, needs approximately 5-6 minutes to work on thick and coarse hair.
  • The hair comes off easily in shower or with any soft cloth.
  • Never noticed black or patchy skin around the arm pit or anywhere post using this cream.
  • Refreshing rose scent.
  • User-friendly packaging.

Cons of Veet Spray On Cream Hair Remover:

  • Like any normal hair removal cream, it also removes hair from epidermis and not from hair shaft.
  • The spray on cream often tends to make the floor slippery.
  • Does not give even and clean finish like waxing.
  • The spatula applicator is of no use, it sometime accentuates itching.
  • This spray can will hardly last after one generous spray on hands, legs, and arm pits, quite a disappointment.

I do not have any issues with this hair removal cream except the fact that it can be used only sparingly and not for whole body treatment if we want to make this 5 Oz can last longer. I would still prefer to use epilators/shavers over these creams as permanent solution, though these can be used as quick fixes. I would consider this cream again and again till the time I get hold of a good epilator-shaver.
