Usage: With the make-up brush cleaner mat you can use any soap, shampoo or natural cleaning solution. The smaller knobs on the top are used for foaming and lathering, the grooves at the bottom are used to clean the bristles and release dirt and oils. The cleaner mat also re aligns the bristles without stripping them.
My Experience with Vega Make-Up Brush Cleaner Mat:
Let me first start with the product packaging. Vega make-up brush cleaner mat comes in a transparent hard plastic pack. There is a cardboard inside the pack which contains all the details of usage with product description.
The actual product is a curved oval shaped mat. It is curved on one side and flat on the other side. On the flat side, there are grooves and small knobs. The small knobs on the upper part and big horizontal grooves are on the lower part. This oval mat is hollow from inside so that one can hold the mat easily.
I held it by inserting my finger in the hollow space and then, lather up my make-up brushes one by one on the small knobs. After that I rubbed make-up brushes on the grooves to clean the product left on the brushes after usage. It does its job very well and I am happy that now I don’t have to use my fingers to rub away the make-up brushes for cleaning. It helps in cleaning all the make-up brushes really well. I found it little small for bigger brush like a blush brush or big fan brush. But, it still serves the purpose very well.
The make-up brush cleaner mat is made of good quality silicone material which will last long. After cleaning the brushes, I always clean the mat with soapy solution to maintain the hygiene. It might be an extra step, but it’s worth it. I am quite happy with this product for now.
