VEGA PROFESSIONAL PB-18 EYE SMUDGER BRUSH REVIEW
I was looking for a good eye smudger brush since a long time. I was confused between Body Shop eye smudger and Vega eye smudger. I always give preference to Vega professional brushes over the normal range because of a great difference between the quality of both of the brushes. I finally decided on Vega professional brush because of its easy availability and the difference between the price of both the brushes.
Read on more to find out about the brush.
About the product:
This rubber brush will soften up hard eyeliner lines. Simply buff over the applied line to soften the edges and create a smoky look.
Price: Rs 150
My take on this brush:
This is my first eye smudger brush and I would say I am completely satisfied with it. The brush has elegant black appearance and has sponge tip. This brush is long like other Vega Professional brushes. I don’t have any pencil brushes so I am going to tell here my experience with this sponge tip brush rather than comparing it with other brushes.
The tip looks and feels very hard when touched with the fingers, but does its job of smudging well. I use it to smudge kajal on my waterline and lower lash line and it perfectly does its job. Though it feels hard when touched with fingers, but when used on the eyes, it feels appropriate.
I use it to smudge kohl and eyeliners at the crease when I apply these as bases for my eyeshadows and I haven’t experienced any problem with it. It can also be used to apply eyeshadow at inner corner and tear duct. It applies eyeshadow at lower lash line very well. It can be used to smudge eyeliner at the upper lash line without any problems.
I have washed it for about 7-8 times and haven’t noticed any change in the sponge tip after wash. It hasn’t loosened from the base and neither has become harder or rough. I would say it is a very good smudger considering its price. It does its job very well.
I have used the brush to smudge all the four corners of the thick kohl I have applied.
I know the picture is gross but I had to show how it worked. 😛
• Does its job well
• Can be used to smudge kajal, eyeliner and eyeshadow base
• Can be used to apply eyeshadow at lower lash line and in the inner corner and tear duct
• Doesn’t feel hard or rough on lids
• Sponge tip hasn’t detached or loosened from the base
• No problems after washing
• Easily available
• Sponge tip feels hard when touched with fingers
• This brush is long
Will I repurchase/ do I recommend?
I love to try brushes from different brands and next time, I would like to try pencil brush instead of sponge tip smudger. But I would absolutely recommend it to you if you are in search of a good sponge tip smudger.
