In my eternal search for my HG night cream, I tried one more night cream. I am now using a Vichy Normaderm Purifying Cleansing Gel and I am quite happy with the result. I was delighted to see their night cream which is tested on Asian skin and suitable for sensitive skin. Supposedly, it provides night regeneration and deep cell whitening. Pretty impressed with labels, I immediately picked up “Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream”.
So today, I am going to review this cream. Let’s see whether it was able to take my HG night cream’s position or not.

My Experience with Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream:
I have a combination skin with super oily T zone and the chin area being dry. So, choosing a right day/night cream is quite a challenge for me. By seeing so many promises, I was on cloud 9 and I started using this cream with high hopes.
I normally wash my face with Vichy Normaderm Purifying cleansing gel followed by Vichy Eau Thermale Thermal Spa Water and then apply the cream 1 hour before bed. I am using this regularly for the past two months (Missed some 4-5 days because of sheer laziness!).
This cream is quite thick in nature, spreads nicely and needs a little amount to cover the entire face/neck. But,even after massaging for 3-5 minutes, it does not get completely absorbed. As a result, my face looks a little greasy after application. Although, it didn’t break me out. It has unique medicated smell (I felt, somewhat alcohol-y!) which is not pleasant to me in a cream.
As it claims, nothing magical happened on next morning (I wasn’t even expecting that to happen) but the skin was well hydrated. After applying it for more than 3 weeks, I found small pigmentation on the sides of my face /nose area became a little lighter but, again nothing extraordinary or extremely visible.
I continued to use it for another month but, it neither showed any whitening effect nor was very helpful in pigmentation/removing flaws from my skin (as it claims). This cream is indeed hydrating by nature and next morning you will see a well hydrated face. But, that can be done with many available night creams with lesser price.
Pros of Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream:
• Provides nice hydration.
• Fades dark spots/ freckles to some extent.
• Hypo allergic and Paraben free.
• Contains salicylic acid which is known to be good for skin/acne.
• Although, it’s thick creamy in texture, didn’t break me out.
• Needs little amount for the entire face-neck (1st tub lasted me 1.5 months)
Cons of Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream:
• Doesn’t provide whitening effect even after using for 2+ months.
• Not able to provide me any significantly visible reduction in pigmentation/ flaws.
• Greasy as doesn’t completely get absorbed so in summer may be difficult to use (specially for oily skin).
• Tub packaging is so unhygienic to use.
• Glass jar needs special care to handle for clumsy people like me!
• Smell is medicated which I don’t like.
• Expensive.

Will I Repurchase Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream?
No. I already used 2 packs without any visible effect. My search for HG night cream continues. Any suggestion is most welcome..!

In the ingredient list, it is mentioned that it contains purifying peony, which sounded mysterious and I was curious about it. I did a little research and found that peony is a flowering plant which is known for its medical uses.It has been used frequently in traditional of Korea, China and Japan and known to have some cell- regeneration capacity.(Source: Wikipedia)

Oh my god when i read the name i had high expectations 🙁 but the moment i start reading it was like sand slowly slipping from my fist and finally empty lol 🙂 no effects even after 2 tubs.. really bad

Really surprising that not all the products of this brand are same. Have been using Vichy Normaderm Night Anti Imperfection Rejuvenating night cream since past 2 months and it is simply amazinggg. My skin is super oily with all the problems which come with this skintype but after using this cream I am so happy. You should also give it a try.
