Vichy Complete Action Anti Stretch Mark Cream

Most people get stretch marks in their teenage years when the body goes through hormonal changes and gain weight in certain areas. A lucky few girls who escape this might get it when they become pregnant.  Gaining or losing weight rapidly can also lead to stretch marks. It can happen anywhere, thighs, shoulders, buttocks, hips, chest, calf, stomach, etc.

Even I had them from teenage years, but never bothered.  I never wore any short skirts also, but then my marriage was fixed and I ran here and there to find a way to get rid of all of them in a few months’ time. The first impression is the best impression right? :shying:

I consulted a dermatologist and she stated the sad news that it will not go away completely with any topical creams and I was not ready to do any laser treatment or other medical procedures. But, we should not lose the battle without trying, right?

I went to “Health and Glow” and started checking out my options. There were quite a few of them, but I did not have the time in hand to experiment and see what works and what will not. So, I picked up “Vichy Complete Action Anti-Stretch Marks” cream hoping that Vichy Laboratories already did their complete research and this would be effective.

How To Use:

Massage the cream gently to the affected areas until all of the cream is completely absorbed. Use it for at least 3 months. The cream is safe to be used from the fourth month of pregnancy.

My Experience with Vichy Complete Action Anti-Stretch Mark Cream:

Even though the cream looks thick, it gets completely absorbed into the skin. There is no greasy or sticky feeling left behind. The skin looks smooth, supple and healthy after the massage. I religiously used this cream daily. I will not say it was completely ineffective. My stretch marks did lighten a bit, but, they did not go away completely.  Maybe, this cream should be used as a preventive measure rather than a cure for old stretch marks.

Since my age-old marks faded a little, I am guessing that this might work better on new stretch marks. So, if you have started noticing new marks, you can give this a try. Also, I did not buy a new pack, maybe on using for a longer period of time, the marks might fade even further.

Pros of Vichy Complete Action Anti-Stretch Mark Cream:

  • Rich cream which gets easily absorbed into the skin.
  • Highly moisturizing and no greasiness left behind.
  • Gives smooth, supple skin with better elasticity.
  • Stretch marks faded a little.
  • Safe to use during pregnancy.
  • Tested by gynecologists and dermatologists.
  • Works great as a preventive measure against stretch marks.
  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Nice smell.

Cons of Vichy Complete Action Anti-Stretch Mark Cream:

  • Not effective on “very old” stretch marks.
  • Need to be used for many months continuously for visible results.
  • For me, the stretch marks “color” faded a little, but their size did not diminish much as claimed.
  • Price is on the higher side.

IMBB Rating:

3/5.

  1. hmmmm interesting product and nice review Jismi!! 🙂 Atleast it diminished your marks…otherwise what I’ve known from such creams of other brands is that they do nothing at all.. 😐 This one does sound better than those!! 🙂

  2. Yes Kimi, this is better than most of the other creams out there.. But, the marks faded very little only. :spank: :spank: At least, something is better than nothing. 😥

  3. I love Vichy products :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
stretch marks cannot be finished completely once they have formed :((
It is suggested that one shud massage well with oils, heavy creams like one with cocoa butter beforehand… like if u start working out n u know u ll loose wgt n thr r chances of stretch marks to appear, u shud start wid massages 🙂

  4. sounds too costly.. I used palmer’s cocoa butter right from 6th month before delivery…. It was really messy and didnt absorb into the skin… I am not sure whether it reduced as I used it as prevention.. I still have stretch marks and I lost interest;so didnt use after my delivery.. These creams do not completely remove them.. 🙁
