I am very fond of BB creams and use them daily. I use a BB cream instead of a foundation since I like the natural look it gives. This time, I got the Vichy Idealia BB Cream. Vichy products are made in France and this is my first pick from the brand.

My Experience with Vichy Idealia BB Cream:
BB cream is such a cool product. It’s like a moisturizer, sunscreen and a sheer coverage foundation – all in one! I always associated Vichy to being a high-end skincare brand and was keen to try its BB cream. It comes in just two shades – Fair and Medium. I have fair to medium skin tone and chose to go with the Fair variant for myself.
The packaging is decent. There is a pink outer box and a tube inside. The BB cream is packed in a pink tube with a silver plastic cap. Since it’s not a glass bottle, the product is light and ideal for travels. The tube has a pointed nozzle, which makes usage convenient and hygienic.
When you pump out the BB cream from the tube, the texture seems slightly runny. Once you apply it to the face, it spreads out well on the skin. After a few minutes, the BB cream sets into the skin, giving it a natural and semi-matte finish. I would suggest to dot this cream on the face and then quickly blend with fingers or a foundation brush. Use light strokes until it is evenly applied.
It has a very light texture and the coverage is quite sheer. However, after application, it does give a natural glow making the face look brighter. The shade – Light – is a cool toned shade suitable for fairer skin tones. Since the coverage is sheer, it does not cover blemishes and pigmentation marks.
See the swatch below where I have pumped out the BB cream and then blended it on my hand. Notice how the skin looks even and natural. I have combination skin with dry patches and this Vichy BB cream makes my skin feel hydrated.
I would say it would suit normal and combination as well as combination to oily skin types. I don’t think it’s the best one for dry skin types. If you already have good skin without a lot of marks or pigmentation, this one is good for daily use.

Will I Repurchase Vichy Idealia BB Cream?
Not really. I prefer a bit more coverage. I love using my Garnier BB cream and will stick to this for now.
