How was your V’day celebrations? I had nothing much to do as my hubby went out for a business trip, so me and my daughter ordered pizza and had a mini pizza party *hihi* It was her idea though, I am not very fond of pizzas. The other day, I was looking at Rati’s holiday pics and she was looking adorable in those palazzos. The winter here does not seem to be over yet, hence the dry skin problem still persists, and that made me review this scrumptious smelling body butter from the house of Victoria’s Secret. Let’s proceed to the review.
A seductive, warm fragrance. Ignite an Amber Romance, a sensual embrace of sultry amber and crème anglaise. Experience the luxury of fragrant hydration. Restorative formula is enriched with deeply conditioning shea and jojoba butters, plus antioxidant vitamin E. Massage on for long-lasting, intensive moisture, focusing on dry, rough areas. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable – the ultimate sexy sensation. Amber Romance is a warm and alluring blend of black cherry, crème anglaise, vanilla and sandalwood. It belongs to the Secret Garden collection. For longer-lasting fragrance, layer with Amber Romance Lotion and Mist.
Fragrance type: Warm. Notes: Amber and crème anglaise.
$12 for185 g/6.5 oz.
The packaging is typical bulky body butter type, that means it comes in a tub and I guess it is the best packaging since the butter is of thick consistency, it won’t be of much help if it came in tube packaging. The tub is dark apricot colour with golden prints and it does come with a protective lid inside to prevent spillage. The best part about Victoria’s Secret body butters is that the butter inside is the same color as the tub, so cute!
My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Amber Romance Deep Softening Body Butter:
The winters have stretched a bit, but I am thoroughly enjoying. In my mind, winters paint the picture of cozy rooms and falling leaves along with a chilly breeze. Since the breeze is mostly dry, I am left with dry skin and lips, so I take extra care of my already moisture-starved skin.
I have used body butters from different brands, but if I want to make a comparison between TBS, BBW and VS, my vote would go to VS body butters for their non-sticky texture and less shiny application compared to its other counterparts. This property of VS butters makes me pick them over the other butters; I mean who would like oiliness on the skin even after two hours of application? I have the body scrub from the same range (have previously reviewed that on IMBB). I use it along with this butter as it helps in better absorption.
I love to use this butter after shaving my legs, it makes my skin silky soft with a warm flirty scent. The moisture this butter provides is good enough for dry skin, but women with oily skin could try the lotions instead. I love the smell of this one, I prefer warm scents rather than fruity ones. I would highly recommend it to everyone; to those who love to have thoroughly hydrated skin with a hint of a lovely smell.
