Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush lip gloss comes in a clear plastic .46 fl. oz./13 gm tube with a silver twist-off cap and a slanted applicator. This is a nice feature if put gloss on top of a lipstick, since it does’t wipe off your lipstick when applying the gloss. The tube includes the Beauty Rush name and the Victoria’s Secret name. The gloss’ name is printed on a sticker located on the back of the tube. The ingredients are also listed on the back of the tube.
This gloss is a creamy pink color. When worn, it’s fairly sheer, giving lips only the slightest hint of color but lots of shine. Not normal lip gloss shine but instead it makes your lips look like glass. This does not contain any shimmers.
The consistency is thicker than normal and it tends to be sticky but more slippery. Like Vaseline on Steroids. But this may be the reason it is so long lasting. The shine stays for about an hour after which you might need to re apply.
The smell of this lip gloss is incredibly Sweet, really like cotton candy and it even tasted like it. Since I have a bit of a sweet tooth I can’t help but keep licking it all the time, it tastes so good. But some might find it really overpowering. The smell is so strong you can constantly smell it up your nose for a while. Some might find it this type of excessive sweetness sickening.
It is moisturizing and does seem to make my lips little bit softer. It is one of those “I can’t wear this while in my car and the window is down coz my hair will get stuck in my lip gloss” kind of things.
I have swatched it on its own and on top of Ulta Red Haute lipstick reviews earlier.
- Pretty nice baby pink color on the tube
- Smells tastes just like cotton candy, very very sweet.
- Long lasting on me
- Pretty and sensible packaging, great for travel.
- No color pay off.
- Really sticky and slippery on lips.
- Hair gets stuck in it.
- Way too much money for a simple gloss that doesn’t even give any color, but its quite cheap at the semi-annual sales.
