It has been a long time since I wrote my last article here. IMBB has become even bigger and better since I last used to write here regularly, and if I thought writing here before was one of the best feelings ever, I guess I was mistaken. You know why? Because, the way it feels right now to write on IMBB surpasses that by a whole lot!
I got this cream as a gift from a very dear friend, and I have used it for two weeks ever since, every day before leaving the house. This cream is my second cream from the brand. The first one was the Love Spell one, which I have reviewed here.
A sparkling twist on daily softness. Ultra-conditioning body cream with ProVitamin B5 and Shea Butter quenches skin with silky shimmer. Glimmer away in the scent of Sweet Tease, an irresistible meet-up of Vanilla Cream and Sparkling Berries.
Also available in the following variants:

My skin type:
When I’m not applying lotion regularly, my skin is rather dry and sometimes patchy/flaky, especially on the legs, but if I apply lotion regularly, it is normal.
It is of creme consistency, and yes, that’s why it is called a body cream (and not lotion)! 😀
This is one of the best things about this line of creams. They are great as gifts, or if you just want to buy something special for yourself. Even though the tube itself is a regular transparent plastic one, the layers of cream inside are out of this world! There are alternating layers of dark chocolate brown and light coffee brown. You almost feel you are holding a whipped cream sundae with a pump fitted to its mouth in your hand! 😛 When I pump the product out, the layers mix together and the whole thing turns a light brown.
This cream does contain suspended shimmers, which, frankly I don’t quite see the point of. They are visible when I hold the tube up in good light, but not seen at all on my skin when the cream’s applied. For me that’s a good thing, because I don’t particularly want shimmer on myself. However, considering the word “shimmer” figures right in the name itself, the shimmer should actually be visible on someone who buys it specifically because it says “shimmer!” And in case you’re wondering, no, it doesn’t give my skin a glow or anything of the sort. It just disappears into I don’t know where once the cream is applied. Maybe if any of you have used this, you could tell me whether the shimmers are actually invisible on everyone or it’s just me.
This cream moisturizes very well. It disappears into skin with minimal effort, and leaves my skin baby soft within a few moments. It has never been greasy on my skin, even in the ever-increasing heat. It is light, yet hydrating. For all of you out there who think that creams need to be rich and heavy to be moisturizing, get ready to be pleasantly surprised! 😀
This lotion, true to its name, smells of warm vanilla with a touch of berry. Think of berries and cream 🙂 It is a very soothing fragrance if you like gourmand smells, and is not so strong that it will knock your nose off, yet isn’t so mild that you can hardly smell it. If you plan on buying it for the berry smell, though, I suggest you look for something else. This is because the fragrance of the cream is more vanilla than berry.
The cream comes in a plastic bottle with a regular pump dispenser, which dispenses tiny amounts at a time. I usually use three pumps for each arm. The bottle is also travel-proof; I highly doubt this kind of pump packaging might leak all over in your luggage.
Pros of Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Shimmer Swirl Cream in Sweet Tease:
- Takes minimal effort to get absorbed into the skin.
- Not greasy/oily.
- Pretty moisturizing.
- Effects last for a good number of hours.
- Good packaging (the pump is sturdy).
- Very pretty looking tube, so good for gifting.
Cons of Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Shimmer Swirl Cream in Sweet Tease:
- The fragrance has hardly any berry in it.
- Will not moisturize enough in the winters or for very dry skin.
- If it bothers you, its chemical laden.
- No idea why the shimmers are even added to this cream.
This is a great gift for someone – very special looking, and good quantity. I myself got it as a gift, and I totally love it! 😀 If you’re looking for a berry-smelling lotion, you’re in for disappointment, but if you want a lotion that moisturizes well, requires minimal effort to get absorbed (saves time in the mornings) and with sturdy packaging, this would be a pretty safe buy.
