I’m back with another Victoria’s Secret product. This one is my first from their Beauty Rush range. I absolutely love the concept of shimmer in shower gels and that’s the reason I bought this shower gel.
Read on to know whether this product lived up to my expectations or not 🙂

Description and Claims:
A buzz-inducing body wash! Vitamin-packed formula gently cleanses without stripping skin of natural moisture. Lather up, and get fresh with Strawberry Fizz scent.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Strawberry Fizz Body Glimmer Wash:

Packaging: The bottle is chunky in size and is transparent so the liquid can be seen clearly. It has a mirror-like silver coloured plastic cap which shows the dispenser when pushed. The quantity given is 250 ml.

Longevity: The fragrance as well as the shimmer stays strong after every wash. The fragrance lingers for a while and later on both of them start to disappear. It’s best to follow it up with a moisturizer having the same/similar scent to increase longevity.

Scent: The scent is of sweet strawberries and as I’m a big strawberry lover, I love it. It’s not too mild nor is it is too strong. The sensitive nosed ones won’t have an issue with it but those who love strong fruity scents won’t be impressed by it.

Texture: The body wash is more on the thicker side, almost like a gel’s texture. It contains silver shimmer which looks like multi-coloured on the liquid. The body wash doesn’t lather much (but that’s okay with me) and after it’s rinsed off, it leaves (hardly any) silver shimmer behind. It doesn’t dry out my skin entirely but I do need to follow it up with a moisturizer as I have dry skin. Those with dry-very dry skin should skip it. Girls with normal-dry skin might find it a little moisturizing.

Pros of Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Strawberry Fizz Body Glimmer Wash:

• Sweet yet refreshing strawberry scent.
• Leaves minimal silver glimmer (glitter + shimmer, I’m guessing) on the body after rinsing.
• Chunky bottle, so the quantity is a lot.
• Amazing concept.
• The scent is not sickly sweet, so it won’t irritate those with a sensitive nose.
• Can be used for any occasion as the glitter it leaves behind is almost negligible.
• Does not leak.
• Serves as a moisturizing agent for those with normal-dry skin.
• The dispenser doesn’t overflow the liquid.

Cons of Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Strawberry Fizz Body Glimmer Wash:

• Contains SLS & parabens.
• Girls who have dry to very dry skin will need to follow it up with a moisturizer.
• Price varies in stores.
• Shelf life not mentioned.
• Uncertain availability in India.

Conclusion:
The body is chunky in size, so it isn’t travel-friendly. The fragrance lingers for a while and is not sickly sweet; it’s fresh and won’t irritate those with a sensitive nose. The glitter the body wash leaves behind is almost negligible, so don’t worry you won’t end up looking like a disco ball 😛 . It’s a great one-time buy, although I’d love to buy another one from the same range or something similar from another brand only because I love glitter concept so much! 😛
