Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mist Review

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mist

Hello ladies,
Its been ages since my last review, all thanks to my extremely demanding professional life! To make a comeback with reviews I decided to start with my most loved possessions- fragrances. In my opinion a woman can step out without make-up but not without smelling nice :p

Victoria’s secret made its foray in Indian market with their first stand alone store at IGI airport T3 last April. So last month when my dad was on his business trip I knew what I wanted. I had asked for the pure seduction range but since it was out of stock, the SA handed over bombshell body mist claiming it as their #1 fragrance and their website also says so! Lets find out what is this hype all about.

Product Description

Sexy today. Sexy tomorrow. Sexy forever™. A glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la yellow peony and vanilla orchid.

Price: $23.54 for 250ml at amazon (I have the 125 ml bottle). Its not available on Indian shopping sites yet.

Packaging: I absolutely adore this cute pink cylindrical bottle kept in the shower rack. It’s a fuss free bottle with black nozzle, VS logo in silver engraved in the middle and product detail on the lower end. The only problem lies with cap, it doesn’t snugs in securely to the bottle and comes off in the handbag.

My take on Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mist  :

the VS website quotes this fragrance as a blend of passion fruit, shangrila peony and vanilla orchid. I can definitely smell the hints of passion fruit but about the latter two I’m not quite sure (may be because I don’t know how exactly do they smell)! When sniffing through the nozzle, it gives off a very striking fragrance of some after shave but when applied it comes out totally different. The initial fragrance of passion fruit is demarcating, but in a few minutes it settles down to a fresh and clean just out of the shower fragrance. Since I have highly sensitive nose most of the fragrances give me 2-3 sneezes just after application. But this one spared me! so its a thumbs up in that department.
I totally love how it settles down to a very light and fresh scent.

Talking about the staying power; if used on clothes you would be wondering in an hour where did the whole thing go! Keep it in your shower rack and spritz on generously just after moisturising your body. That ways it stays on for good 2-3 hours. Since I have this habit of carrying mists in bag, I spray it on my pulse points after every few hours. That ways it works just appropriately for me.

Cons f Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mist

• Not available on Indian shopping sites yet
• Bad staying power!

Will I buy Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mist again?

Most definitely! Though citrus and fruity are my fragrances, but this ones comes as a wave of freshness in hot and humid weather.

Also I have received a few compliments for this fragrance and they all tell me… you smell really fresh and charming in this humid weather! What is it? So after all these compliments I’ll definitely keep it for north Indian summers. But I’ll probably buy the perfume version next.

Recommendation

If fresh and light fragrance is your type, go grab it! Though it will be a let downer for women who are inclined towards strong scents.
