Victoria’s Secret Mango Temptation Fragrance Mist Review

Victoria’s Secret is my favorite brand for body mists and I keep hauling their products. I got this body mist as a part of the 5-piece body mist travel kit by VS. Mango is a fruit that we all adore and the smell of mangoes – haaaa!Ammaazzing. Imagine those mango milkshakes and cheesecakes *salivating*. But did the wonderful goodness convert into this bottle?

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Mango Temptation Fragrance Mist:

During the first few days of wearing this, I found the scent OK and tolerable – nothing that’s amazing, but I was OK with it. But after just a couple of weeks, I started getting repulsed by this. It became an irritating smell that I couldn’t stand. It’s an extremely sweet scent with sour notes due to the mango. Mango imparts just the sourness I guess because I can smell nothing like mango in there. No raw mango, ripe mango, milkshakes or cheesecake. Not even the artificial mango fragrance. The major notes that you do get are highly overpowering and clashing. It is not too strong that gives me a headache but it is highly putting off. I stopped using this after about 2 or 3 weeks completely. It has got high fruity floral accords and so people who do like this fragrance can wear it during summers.

The staying power is about 2 hours after which it just fades off completely with no base notes lingering around. Thank God I say! Usually what happens is scents that we hate seem to penetrate into our bones and give off their irritating notes even after days 😛

The one thing I love about this is the compact bottle. I can carry this small travel-size bottle everywhere so conveniently. You will always see a 60 ml VS bottle in my handbag. It is also perfect for my backpacking travels. Unlike the full sized (250 ml) bottle, this one has a slight “poor” look to it, if I may. The neck is not golden and can dent slightly under pressure.

  1. This is my all time favorite body mist. I have to have atleast one bottle of this with me. Yes it is a very sweet smell and quite overpowering on application but it tends to get subtle after some time. It stays on me for a whole day. Even when i take a shower the next day i can still smell it if i really sniff sniff. I loveee mango temptation by VS. And oh yes, it kind of smells like the mango bite chocolate with a hint of luxury ( i dont know how to explain :P). The main point is it does smell of mangoes.
