Hi friends… I am here with a review on Victoria’s Secret Moonlight Dream body lotion. I am currently trying out all the fragrances from VS Fantasies collection. While at VS stores I just cannot help it, but keep sniffing and trying out the testers. Ultimately at one point of time my nose just gives up on me. 🙂
So, I have decided to try only 3–4 fragrances at a time and then decide among them. But, once I am inside the store it is so hard to stick to this. All the gorgeously arranged items are so alluring that it is very hard to say no to them. Does this not remind you of the movie “Confessions of a Shopaholic”? 🙂 . That is another fun movie that I recommend you to watch if you haven’t. Well, let us not get sidetracked on our path and get back to the review of VS Moonlight Dream body lotion.
Packaging:
The body lotion is packaged in an off white and lavender tinged colored plastic bottle. Purple colored orchid prominently features on the bottle cover. The golden colored cap has a flip top nozzle. The same as the other VS Fantasies body lotions. The lotion has an off white color too with a very pale lavender color, which is almost not noticeable.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Moonlight Dream Body Lotion:
The body lotion is very lightweight and gets easily absorbed in the skin on application. The nourishing elements of aloe, oats and grape seed extracts help in providing good moisturization to my skin for few hours.
Initially when I apply the body lotion my skin feels very hydrated, but after 4-5 hours I feel dryness in my skin again. So, though it would be a good lotion for oily or normal skin type, for dry skin it needs reapplication. The body lotion also contains vitamin C and E, but I have not found any skin firmness by using this body lotion.
The name VS ‘Moonlight Dream’ has a very similar name to BBW’s ‘Moonlight Path’. But, that is where the similarities end. The fragrance can be described as very floral and pleasant like other VS Fantasies variants. This body lotion represents theme of honeysuckle and orchids.
After application, the fragrance almost disappears in an hour. So, it has to be layered by body mist to make it last longer. I found this body lotion very similar to other VS Fantasies body lotion, except for the primary fragrance notes. However, this body lotion can be classified as one of the milder fragrance variants in the VS fantasies body lotion collection.
Pros of Victoria’s Secret Moonlight Dream Body Lotion:
- It is very lightweight body lotion, which gets easily absorbed on application.
- Keeps skin moisturized well for few hours.
- Would be more suitable for oily or normal skin type.
- This body lotion is more suitable for summers than for winters.
- Fragrance is mild, pleasant and has more floral notes, which is not overpowering.
- Packaging is good and travel friendly.
- It has aloe, oats and grapeseed to provide hydration.
Cons of Victoria’s Secret Moonlight Dream Body Lotion:
- Contains parabens.
- For dry skin, it would require reapplication after few hours.
- The fragrance of the body lotion almost fades away after an hour.
- There is no skin firmness observed from the content of antioxidants, vitamin E and C.

Would I repurchase Victoria’s Secret Moonlight Dream Body Lotion?
I would not buy this lotion again as it just faired decent enough. The fragrance also does not contain a ‘wow factor’ for me. I did not find any major benefits on using this body lotion.
