Victoria’s Secret Pear Glace Hydrating Body Lotion Review

Victoria’s Secret Pear Glace hydrating body lotion

Hi everybody,

I’m back with the review of another Victoria’s Secret product. This time, the product I’m reviewing is the Pear Glace hydrating body lotion from the VS Fantasies collection. I picked this up a week ago at a store in Delhi itself that sells imported cosmetics and skincare products. The guy at the shop told me that this was a new fragrance lotion; so obviously I had to give this one a try. Read on to find out how it actually fared for me.

How VS describes Pear Glace hydrating body lotion: A tempting, fruity fragrance. Give in to the temptation of Pear Glacé, a delectable mélange of sugared pear and luscious casaba melon. Experience the luxury of fragrant hydration. Fast-absorbing formula contains nourishing aloe, oat and grapeseed extracts, plus antioxidant vitamins E and C. Massage on for silky, replenishing moisture. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable: the ultimate sexy sensation.

VS Tip: For longer lasting fragrance, layer with Pear Glace body wash gel, followed by Pear Glace body lotion and Eau de toilette.

My experience with Victoria’s Secret Pear Glace hydrating body lotion:

Let me begin by saying that I’m not at all a lotion person. I’d prefer body butters anyday. Before this, I hadn’t really purchased any VS lotion for myself. I bought this fragrance keeping in mind that I wanted a subtle smelling lotion this time since the usual VS fragrances that I own are kind of strong scented and excessively sweet floral.

The lotion comes in the classic VS packaging with a golden cap. It is light green in color, representing the color of pears (as the name suggests). The packaging is very sturdy and looks chic.
The lotion’s texture is really praiseworthy. Unlike most lotions that we get in our country which are either too milky in texture or feel too greasy, this one is actually thick and non greasy. Even though the lotion has a thick texture, it absorbs really quickly and only a little drop is enough to moisturize hands well. So a 250ml bottle is supposed to last for a complete season at least. The lotion smells extensively like a mixture of pears and melons. The lotion smells subtle yet it serves the purpose of a mist/EDT also because of the fragrance. The lotion’s moisturizing power lasts for around 2-3 hours or so or until it comes in contact with water but the fragrance keeps lingering all through the day. All things considered, it is the perfect lotion for the spring season.
