Today I will be reviewing Victoria’s Secret Rush fragrance mist. Rush is a part of the “readily customisable perfumes” range “ Victoria’s Secret Fantasies”, which includes a range of 19 affordable fragrance mists and lotions designed to be used in combination to create unique scents. I personally find the whole idea innovative; it gives us a chance to play around with scents and in a way create our own fragrances from a wide collection of mists. I tried out few of the ones at the store and I liked most of them just as they are. So, I ended up walking out of the store with the ones I loved the most and I am all excited to review every one of them!
Price: $12 for 8.4 fl oz

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Rush Fragrance Mist:
Packaging: The perfume comes in a simple transparent plastic bottle with the midnight blue coloured fragrance solution clearly visible. The compact golden cap makes the bottle leak proof and travel friendly. The packaging seemed quite plain to me and honestly, I have liked the packaging of many other VS fragrance mists lots better.
The fragrance I directly get from the bottle is a sweet fruity one with almost no trace of citrusy Clementine notes. Amber is a scent that tends to take on woody or sweet notes depending on what it is blended with and in this, it essentially takes on a sweet scent.
When tried on skin, the scent seemed pleasantly different with the added citrus notes becoming more evident, bringing in a fresher, younger vibe.
The scent lasts the whole day on me. The citrus fruity notes last well for about 7 hours after which the sweet amber notes linger. On clothes, the scent lasts till next laundry. The fragrance is a great choice for those who love fruity-citrus scents with notes of sweet amber. I am not generally an avid lover of overly sweet fruity scents, but this one has a well-balanced amber dry down that is soothing without being overpoweringly sweet. I find the fragrance a good one in itself without necessarily combining with other scents.
I do occasionally combine it with Victoria’s Secret Aqua Kiss and I totally love the resulting mildly citrus aquatic scent. It kind of acts as an instant mood uplifter for me.
Pros of Victoria’s Secret Rush Fragrance Mist:
• A fresh fruity fragrance with a pleasant sweet dry down.
• It has sweet amber notes perfectly blended with citrus Clementine ones.
• The scent is not overpowering.
• The packaging is compact and travel friendly.
• It has good silage.
• The scent is long lasting.
• The scent easily blends in with other VS body mists.
• Does not irritate my skin and doesn’t leave patches when applied on clothes.
• It is an all-season fragrance.
Cons of Victoria’s Secret Rush Fragrance Mist:
• It is not a great choice for those who do not like sweet, fruity scents.
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
Would I Repurchase Victoria’s Secret Rush Fragrance Mist?
I might not. Though the scent is fresh and soothing, there are other scents from VS that I like better. Also, the current one is good enough to last for another 5 months.
Would I Recommend Victoria’s Secret Rush Fragrance Mist?
Yes. It is a great choice if you like fruity fragrances, especially with mild citrus notes.
