The product I’m reviewing today is Victoria’s Secret’s Secret Charm Eau De Toilette. I picked it up on recent visit abroad and the reason I bought it was only because it reminded me of Aladdin’s Jasmine (read on to find out why :D) the moment I spotted it at the VS store.

How Victoria’s Secret describes it:

Enchant in Secret Charm, a bright bouquet of fresh honeysuckle captivated by soft jasmine. Seductive and alluring. The perfect finishing touch. Spray on for scent that lingers.
VS Tips: Secret Charm Eau de toilette with Secret Charm hydrating body lotion for longer lasting fragrance.
Price: $12 for 30 ml. (I bought it for HKD 110 / around INR 891)

My experience with Victoria’s Secret Secret Charm Eau De Toilette

I have never been much of a fan of eau de toilettes; I prefer fragrance mists the most. Also, this is the only EDT I’ve ever bought. That too because it’s by a brand, I’m currently madly obsessing over. LOL!
Secret Charm EDT’s packaging is nothing like other VS products. Nothing about it screams OTT; it’s simple yet there’s something classy about it. Secret Charm eau de toilette comes in beautiful lilac carton. The EDT’s glass bottle has a cute little bow over where Secret Charm is written.

This fragrance’s key notes are Honeysuckle and Jasmine (see, I told you it reminds me of Aladdin’s Jasmine more often than not). And I kid you not, it does have a fairytale-y feel to it. Also, it’s totally fresh and alluring, just as VS describes it on the back of the carton.

The fragrance is okayish. But I’m saying that because I have tried other better fragrances by VS like Love Spell and Amber Romance. This fragrance is very summery and fresh and floral. The staying power isgreat, just like other Victoria’s Secret EDTs, EDPs and mists; it stays on for almost the entire day (though, of course, the fragrance becomes a little subdued after 5-6 hours). I’m not exactly in love with this fragrance but I don’t regret buying it either.

• Well priced for the quality it offers
• Great staying power

Cons of Victoria’s Secret Secret Charm Eau De Toilette

• Not available in India
• Packaging could’ve been better
• Some people may not like its excessively floral fragrance.

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend Victoria’s Secret Secret Charm Eau De Toilette ?

I don’t think I’ll buy this particular fragrance again as there are so many others to choose from. But I do recommend it to all those who like fruity floral fragrances.
