Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum Review

Hello people,

I am going to be reviewing a perfume today which is one my fall favorites. I know it’s not fall at the moment, but this is a perfect fragrance even for a night out, no matter what season too! There is a huge huge hype about this fragrance. Viktor and Rolf introduced Flowebomb in 2004 as an oriental perfume. However, this one smells sooooo sweet that it makes me feel like I am in a candy shop or a place with really sweet-smelling flowers around me. Read on to know more about the product.

Product Description:
A floral explosion, a profusion of flowers that makes everything more positive. Viktor and Rolf designed a bottle cut like a multi-faceted diamond for their fragrance. Full-bodied and opulent, the Eau de Parfum explodes in a bouquet of sensations with its addictive floral notes which leave their trail, like a whirlwind that is distinctly couture. A millefleurs around the freesia, Centifolia rose, osmanthus and Sambac jasmine, supported by a background of patchouli. Available in 30, 50 and 100 ml.

My Experience with Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum:

First of all, this perfume screams classy. The bottle is so pretty. It looks like a cute little pink grenade 😛 The name and the shape of the bottle are just cleverly made and matched. When I tested this out in Sephora, my initial thoughts were that it was a warm smelling, pretty sweet fragrance, and I was not sure if this was for me. I have not liked extremely sweet-smelling fragrances, but I still went along and sprayed this on my wrist and wanted to see how it lands up smelling after a couple of hours. I tested this to see if the perfume fades on to smell too sweet and if it is too overpowering or gives me a headache.

After some time, I felt that I was smelling like I dipped myself in cotton candy, but not insanely sweet. It’s a very feminine fragrance. I feel that this fragrance is most suitable for ages between 20-35. I constantly wore this to work during winter and also for night outs or after parties.

The top notes are bergamot and green tea. I don’t smell green tea at all. Middle notes are Jasmine, African orange flower, freesia, orchids, rose. I definitely smell freesia and rose. Base notes are musk and patchouli. When I spritz it initially, I can get the smell of orchids at first, rose and everything sweet. It slowly fades on my skin to start smelling musky and powdery. The sillage is moderate. Staying power is decent. I would say it lasts for about 6-7 hours.

Something I want to mention to my IMBB readers is that this smells so much like Lancome La Vie Est Belle. Except the Lancome fragrance smells much sweeter and stays for insanely long amount of time. But 2 out of 4 times that I have applied this, it gave me a headache, so I had to return it. But if you enjoy La Vie Est Belle and want a milder version of the perfume, Flowerbomb is your best bet.
