Viseart Cashmere Theory Palette Review

With the past week, I have been really busy as I added a new furry member to my family and have been spending most of my time making her feel as comfortable as she could be, hence I wasn’t able to post much nor share with you my recent Sephora VIB sale haul (Yes ! there was no way I was missing out on that!), but since that ship has sailed, let me share with you my thoughts on the fantastic new items I picked up.  This review will be on the Viseart Theory palette in “Cashmere.”

My Experience with Viseart Cashmere Theory Palette:

Packaging:  Unlike the original Viseart palettes which had sturdy plastic with a clear top, these Theory palettes have a cardboard flip open case which makes them extremely portable and travel friendly. I do like the fact that the top open all the way to the back. The eyeshadow pans individually can be popped out and put in a magnetic palette if you want to customize your own, but I personally would prefer keeping them just the way they are.

Texture:  It’s no surprise that I love Viseart eyeshadows, their mattes more than the shimmers. The mattes have an extremely smooth feel and they have just the right amount of density which does not make them so powdery that they fly all over when you dip your brush in nor are they so hard that you have to literally dig your brush to get any sort of payoff. The mattes in this palettes have the same exact feel and performance when compared to the mattes from their original 10 pan palettes which in my opinion are some of the best if not THE best matte shadows you can get your hands on.

The shimmers on the hand are a bit more firmly pressed vs the mattes. Using a flat packing brush would yield you the more bang for your buck with them. The quality of these are also exactly like the 12 pans, so be assured than you are not getting an inferior quality for this smaller version.

Pigmentation/Blendability:  Absolutely no complains in either department. These shadows blend like a dream. The mattes offer excellent pigmentation. With the shimmers; however, I have been a bit underwhelmed. It’s not to say they are bad by any means but being the kind of a girl who loves bold metallics (My favorites include the Kat Von D Metal Crush Shadows and if you have ever used them you know exactly what I mean), I feel the shimmer on these shadows are a bit softer, much more wearable for an everyday basis if you prefer that. You do have to pack these on a bit heavily to yield more reflect from the shimmers.

Shades:  Because the shades have no label, I am just going to describe them in sections:

Mattes:
1- Light warm creamy beige. Excellent pigmentation for being such a light shade. Can be used a matte brow bone highlight or even packed all over the lid with a darker shade in the crease for a doll eye look.
2- A medium warm neutral brown- and excellent crease shade.
3- A warm charcoal grey. A great alternative if you are looking for a softer approach to black.

Shimmers:

4- A soft champagne- pale gold shade which yield the strongest metallic reflect compared to the other 2 shimmers. The pigmentation on this is bang on !
5- A soft neutral –coo toned taupe brown. This shades makes for a beautiful all over the lid color
6- A neutral –cool toned greyish taupe. Also a beautiful all over lid shade or if your just want to use it on the outer 1/3 of the eye

Staying Power:

These shadows wear all day on me without creasing. I do love the fact that these shadows, even the shimmers do not emphasize texture on the lid which makes them ideal for those with mature eye area.

Overall, this is a wonderful eye palette with which on its own you can create soft everyday looks or combine and supplement your other colorful eyeshadows with and obviously I cannot say more good things about the fantastic quality which in itself makes it worth the investment. I would 100% recommend this.

Cons of Viseart Cashmere Theory Palette:

• If like me you are a fan of super duper metallic look, you will find these Viseart shimmers a bit underwhelming.
