My Take on VLCC Acne Care Oil Control 2 in 1 Scrub Pack:

I have been loving the 2-in-1 scrub packs VLCC has come up with, mainly the fair and anti-tan one already reviewed here.  Having oily skin and staying in a hot and humid place means it is rare for my skin to feel dry unless I travel to some dry and cold place.  The humidity adds to the grease, wearing makeup on top of that means literally blocking pores which means acne and blackheads which give me nightmares more often than not.  I usually skip base makeup or use only compact and have been loving the dual powder to foundation type of products, but seriously, if one has had a breakout in life (mine lasted for more than a year), one would run away from grease or would take serious measures for clearer pores like I do.

So, I love scrubs, I love mild scrubs, I love scrubs with rounded small beads which dissolve when you rub them.  I love scrubs which you can use each day or on days when you know you have sinned with pore-clogging makeup. Using scrubs is more of a mental thing for me than a literal one and hence I am loving scrub packs.

This is a scrub with nice, tiny, small, mild (a little more than mild), blue-colored beads which I quite like. I go easy with the scrubbing part though the beads feel a teeny bit more than mild, but still rounded and not abrasive at all.  So, I use the scrub at least thrice a week, for a minute, go for some more product and then leave it on for 10 minutes.

Remember the other fair skin 2-in-1 doesn’t dry, but this one does dry, but not to to the “cracking” type of dryness.  Imagine multani mitti mixed with cream, the texture is like that plus the blue beads for scrubbing. I quite like it but there is no immediate effect on the pimples, but I did not get any more pimples for sure. The blemishes look a little better after using this whole tube I would say, but nothing remarkable happened even after I used up the whole thing. The pack feels like creamy multani mitti with some cool menthol which has a very mild cooling effect, but feels good for my pores.  Its non-drying for my oily skin in a very humid place at least.

One major thing I want to point out about this pack is that it smells of soap! Oh my God, I feel like I have just eaten a Lux soap or some Nirma soap and I can’t get it out. The soapy smell is over the top and can get nauseating in case you don’t like it, how could they make it so soapy smelling? A major put off for me!

Last Word on VLCC Acne Care Oil Control 2 in 1 Scrub Pack:

I recommend it only for the mild scrubbing action and maybe if you are looking for a creamier, non-drying multani mitti kind of pack. I end up using a lot of product since I use it as a pack too, which is again not a good thing. It smells of some cheap toilet soap and this product is not worth the smell honestly. So, I say try the other 2-in-1 scrub pack I have reviewed and skip this one, nothing you need to check out! Dry skin stay away please!
