VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion Review

Hello friends,
Recently only I have discovered a new love for VLCC products. They are completely ayurvedic with no scary and mysterious ingredients, their effectiveness and their no harm on skin. These points are enough for me to decide whether to buy a product or not. Today I am going to review VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 30 which I bought recently when my lakme sunscreen got finished. Though lakme was also good and effective but I went for this because before this I haven’t tried VLCC products. I also purchased VLCC Fruits Anti Tan Pack which I’ll review in next post.

Product information from the back side of the tube:-
VLCC matte look sun screen lotion for all skin types.
Oil free formulation with UVA and UVB protection.
VLCC matte look sun screen lotion is a broad spectrum sunscreen providing protection from both UVA and UVB rays. This sun screen lotion is designed for all day protection and is suitable for all skin types. It gets absorbed quickly and provides a matte finish.

Directions:
Apply the lotion liberally and evenly on the face and neck before exposure to the sun. Re-apply frequently, especially for long duration sun exposure.

My take on VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30:-
This sunscreen comes in a cute yellow tube with a flip cap. The flip cap is tight and shuts promptly with a sound ensuring that the cap is locked and hence avoids spillage. The hole of the cap is enough wide to give you appropriate quantity for single application on face and neck. One can also apply this on their hands that will be exposed in the skin.

Coming to its texture and effectiveness, it’s slightly disappointing. It is sandal in color and has a mild fragrance of cucumber like. It has got a creamy texture which can be blended with a 1 minute message only. The texture is very creamy (you can yourself see in the picture).

With slight rubbing it spreads but didn’t get absorbed in the skin. (See picture below):-

With further continuous message it got spreads evenly and got absorbed leaving skin little shiner and oilier (please see the picture below). But after sometime it got absorbed completely leaving skin very soft and smooth. I did sweat a bit after applying this. But no whitish cast was left behind unlike other sunscreens in the market.

Pros of VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30:-
1. Gives a matte finish on the skin
2. Made skin soft and silky smooth.
3. A very small quantity is needed for each application.
4. Has a mild pleasant smell of fruits.
5. Didn’t give me any break-outs.
6. My skin didn’t get tanned after the sun exposure.
7. Easily available.
8. Tight flip cap which shuts promptly making it travel friendly.
9. Good quantity at a good price.
10. Complete listing of the ingredients.
11. Completely ayurvedic product full of essentials extracts.
12. Has SPF 30.

Cons of VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30:-
1. Made me sweat a bit after application
2. Needs longer message time to make the lotion get absorbed in the skin.

Final verdict:-
This Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion is a great sunscreen for everyday use. It is an effective ayurvedic product (which I can always pick without giving a second thought) full of natural extracts. I love this and will always be picking this one until and unless I get a perfect substitute for this.

Rati, one question off the topic, while browing one day, i came across one of your video tutorials in youtude which helped me a lot… here i have read that you did do quite a few video tutorials, but now when i try to search them on youtude, i cant find them… what keyword shall i use? i tried all the possible options like makeup tutorial (yeilded trillion results, coulnot find yours 😕 ), then even searched with your name… but of no use…

Wow hot ginger tea in the morning!!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:
i love tea and often try out differnt varaities…. but in the morning i am super busy to get ready and reach office on time… isiliye, i only get to drink machine wala tea from office…
but, when i go back, i have a big cup of jasmine green tea 🙂

          1. Me too loveeeeee jasmine green tea!! 😀 😀 Me also tried so many flavors..chocolate, strawberry, vanilla..but donno couldn’t connect to them..I always come back to plain old masala and ginger tea!! 😀

            1. yes… actually yes, too much other flavours ruins the taste of the tea itself….
mostly i have plain dargiling tea… just brewed… no sugar, no milk…
recently i bought a jasmine green tea and a mint green tea, and i am loving them…

when i am not well, ginger tea is a must… it soothes my mind a lot… it makes me feel better… it has a very good soothing effect
