VLCC Natural Sciences Rose Face Scrub Review

VLCC Natural Sciences Rose Face Scrub

Hello My Dear Imbbians!

Recently, I ordered this scrub along with a few other things from an e-shopping site. Before starting, I’ll make it clear, that I have oily, acne-prone skin with persistent blackheads and whiteheads on my nose and chin.  Okay, so now, that the embarrassing secret is out of the way, I’ll go ahead with my review.

VLCC Natural Sciences Rose Face Scrub

Product Claims:

This gel-based scrub has been specially designed for deep cleansing and purifying the skin, hence offering it a refreshed and soft feel. It has fine grains and finely crushed walnut shell, which helps to remove dead skin cells.

Description

Price:

Rs. 125 (I got it on discount for Rs105) for 50 g.  Suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Directions For Use:

Take appropriate amount and apply it all over the face in light circular motion. Avoid application near the eyes. Wash off with water.

My Experience with VLCC Natural Sciences Rose Face Scrub:

Since I have stubborn blackheads, I like scrubs with chunky granules that can help in clearing away the rough dead skin over my nose. I had been using the Lotus apricot scrub for a pretty long time and it was doing a decent job, but when it got over, I bought the VLCC rose scrub just for a change.

It comes in a plastic tube with a flip top cap, which I find quite hygienic and travel friendly.

VLCC scrub

It has a gel-like appearance and is runny in consistency.

scrub

It has very fine, pink granules which hardly exfoliate my skin and after the scrubbing, the black heads and white heads still stare at me with big bambi eyes!! What’s the point of buying a scrub which cannot exfoliate??!! I will have to buy another tube of my good old Lotus scrub now, and I’ll use this product as a daily face wash.  The VLCC Rose Scrub is actually gentle enough to be used as a daily face wash with very mild exfoliating properties.

It has a rose-like fragrance which is pleasant and goes away quickly.

Now summing up the pros and cons..

Pros:

• Fine packaging.
• Inexpensive.
• Pleasant fragrance.
• Gentle on the skin.
• Can be used as a face wash.

Cons:

• Granules are too fine for effective exfoliation!

Will I Repurchase?

No, it’s a headache to finish this little tube in the first place!

Final Verdict:

If you want a good scrub that can help in cleaning up the dead skin and blackheads and make your skin smooth after scrubbing, this is definitely not for you! On the other hand, if you have dry or sensitive skin and no blackheads, and you want a very mild, gentle exfoliation, you should give this one a chance. It might just work for you (I don’t give any guarantees!) 😉

    1. neha i already use slicylic face wash twice a day…but i have stubborn blackheads which don’t go no matter what i use…coarse scrubs also don’t get rid of them, but atleast my skin becomes smoother.. :shame:

  6. Hey tinkerbell loved your review..! i have very sensitive skin and this rose scrub worked nice! This is very close to what i have been looking for…a mild scrub which does not irritate my skin…i have used himalaya apricot scrub and lotus apricot scrub in the past but they were too harsh for my skin!
