My Experience with VLCC Natural Sciences Rosemary Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:

I bought this shampoo because I was impressed with the list of ingredients it has. With all the goodness of Tea tree oil, Rosemary oil, Indian Gooseberry, Hibiscus Flower, Margosa, Aloe vera and Fenugreek Extracts, this product seemed to be a good option. It comes in a white bottle with a blue flip-open cap. The color as well as the feel of the shampoo resembles that of honey; it is yellowish-brown in color. It is transparent and the consistency is thick but runny. It smells like a medicine, somewhat like a cough syrup; the smell is however, not unbearable.

shampoo

When taken in the right quantity, it lathers well. After shampooing, I towel dry my hair and soon I find, dandruff flakes scattered all over my hair like tiny white dots. On the first day, it was scary, but later I found that once the hair is totally dry, the dandruff flakes disappear (I think they shed off).

I have normal-type hair with an excessively oily scalp. Though nothing is specified regarding the hair or scalp type it is suitable for, I find it quite satisfactory for my hair. It controls the excess oil secretion and keeps the scalp fresh. It is also helpful in combating dandruff (though it tends to re-appear after a couple of days). Mine is a chronic and severe dandruff problem; I think that someone whose dandruff problem is not so severe would find it useful. I have only finished the first bottle, and I am not sure if it would help in eliminating dandruff when used regularly for a long period of time. I would surely continue with this brand for sometime now.

I must however mention that I am using this shampoo along with a daily dose of Lotus Herbals Keda Veda Hair Roots Active Herbal Tonic (you can read the herbal tonic review by Shivani here).  I also apply lemon juice on my scalp once every week and eat one amla  everyday.

    1. ya….often certain things dont suit certain hair and skin types…!! somehow it suits my scalp coz its very oily….the shampoo has a tendency to dry out! 🙂

  2. I had used this product some years back, then the color was pink and now it has entirely changed.I didnt like it then, had made my hair very dry, but may be now they have changed their formulation ! Good review !
