I am highly impressed by VLCC’s Specifix Professional range. I picked up a few products from this range and today, I am going to review Specifix Professional Gentle Exfoliating gel. Scroll to know how it worked for me.

How to Use:
Apply Specifix Professional Gentle Exfoliating Gel on moist face and neck, scrub gently with fingertips in circular motion for 5-7 minutes. Avoid eye area. Remove with moist cotton.
My Experience with VLCC Specifix Professional Gentle Exfoliating Gel:
The scrub comes in a simple white tube. The tube is inverted which makes it very easy to place the tube near my basin. The tube has a flip open cap which closes tight so there is no chance of the scrub squeezing out. It is a big tube so, it can’t be easily carried during travels. The hole in the tube easily lets out the needed quantity. So, the packaging is definitely flawless.
The scrub is transparent gel with very tiny blue scrubby bits. The consistency is of gel type which is neither thick nor too runny. The scrubby bits are perfect as a scrub; they are actually very gentle. It feels very exfoliating on my skin and I can feel that it is cleansing my skin extremely well. It has a mild rose water smell which soothes and relaxes my senses. The scrub doesn’t create lather. It is more like the exfoliating scrub which we usually get with facial kit. It reminds me one of scrubs of VLCC facial kit. Though it doesn’t lather up but it does which cleanse the skin very well. It contains rose water and glycerine as key ingredients. May be that’s why it doesn’t dry out my skin.
My skin instantly looks fresher and brighter whenever I use this scrub. My skin instantly feels tighter and the mild fragrance stays for sometime. I can feel smoother skin than usual. My skin looks healthier and bouncy. It gets rid of all the impurities, sebum and excess shine. It leaves my face matte and the oil does not gush up on my face for the next 3-4 hours. This can be used everyday as a mild scrub, but if you are looking for a heavy duty scrub then this is not the best choice in market. Also, it doesn’t work well on white heads or blackheads. It only removes dead cells. This can be used as a go to scrub, nothing more than that. I do love the fragrance so I will purchase it for winters as it is very gentle. It is for dry and sensitive skin. I don’t think oily skin people will find it much of help. Though, it is a good option for winter when skin will be usually dry and you need a mild exfoliator.

- Nothing extraordinary.
- Contains paraben.
- Not so effective on blackheads.
- Not a best option for normal and oily skin.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend VLCC Specifix Professional Gentle Exfoliating Gel?
Yes to both. I surely recommend it for dry and sensitive skin. It works really well for my skin type. It is not a heavy duty scrub for whiteheads and blackheads. It is a good option as a mild everyday scrub.
