My Experience with Watsons Beer Volumizing Treatment Wax:
I have been facing a lot of hair fall issues for quite some time and the humid weather here made my hair limp, so I opted for this volumizing hair wax. Now, let’s start the review with the packaging of the product. The hair wax comes in a big golden yellow colored plastic jar. The jar has screw on plastic lid with a flip top cap. The lid shuts tightly making an audible click sound and ensures that the jar is leak-proof and travel friendly. Since this is a huge tube, it is a bit bulky to carry around while traveling. Overall, I cannot find any major flaws about the packaging.
This hair wax is basically a type of hair mask. With this product, one can get a “hair spa” kind of feel without spending too much money. It has been instructed to use this hair mask only twice a week and not more than that. The wax looks pearly white in color. The consistency is quite thick and creamy. The formula is slippery, so the hair wax sometimes slips from my hand when I apply it on to the hair. It is a kind of hydrophobic substance like a candle wax which repels water. It spreads nicely on my hair covering each strand. The wax has an artificial fragrance which is slightly strong and may irritate those with sensitive noses for sure.
The way I use it – I gently towel dry my shampooed hair and apply this hair treatment wax. Then, I massage it thoroughly from roots to tips and leave it for around 10 minutes as suggested because leaving it for some 2-3 minutes like we do with a hair conditioner will not work. Then, I wash it off with lot of water. It takes a bit of effort to wash it off completely, otherwise it leaves a slippery residue behind.
My hair feels incredibly soft after using this hair wax. It gives a sort of nourishment to my hair and makes it look super lustrous and silky. It helped to keep my hair tangle free for long. It also adds nice volume and makes hair look healthy and bouncy but the volumizing effect is quite short lived because my hair does get limp at the end of the day. Since the product is not like an everyday conditioner, I cannot use it daily. Overall, I am happy with results of this hair treatment wax.
