11 Ways to Remove Stretch Marks After Pregnancy

Stretch marks are a form of skin scarring that appears light hued, and usually, develop during the third trimester of your pregnancy and can reduce by themselves over a period of time. However, these scars never tend to go away completely and can only be minimized. 1. Castor Oil

Castor oil is a simple remedy for a number of skin- and hair-related problems like wrinkles, age spots, dark spots and even fine lines. The ricinoleic acid in castor oil is a natural emollient and helps in fading skin imperfections like a pro!

The healing and soothing properties of aloe vera gel can be used to get rid of stretch marks. Rich in compounds known as glucomannan and gibberellins, aloe vera boosts the production of collagen in your skin and restores your skin’s elasticity.

Being naturally rich in amino acids, using egg whites is an excellent way to get rid of your stretch marks. You can either apply egg whites directly on your stretch marks or make your own potent egg pack by mixing a tablespoon of olive oil, castor oil and a few drops of rosehip essential oil in a couple of egg whites.

Being acidic in nature, lemon juice helps in eliminating skin problems like acne, pimples and even stretch marks. Simply rub some lemon peel on the affected area thrice a week and get desirable results within two months.

5. Sugar

You can use a sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin which will help in the removal of dead skin cells, so as to make way for new cells to generate. Apart from it, sugar also helps in improving circulation and fastens the healing process of your stretch marks.

We all know that Vitamin E oil is essential for glowing and clear skin. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which help in removing any kind of skin scarring and also work as an anti-aging potion.

10. Good old Vicks

Vicks is rich in essential oils and a lot of herbs owing to which it works excellently on your stretch marks and hydrates and heals it from within. With regular use, you will realize that your stretch marks have been healed to a great extent and also your skin will feel brighter and firmer.

11. Stay Hydrated

Keeping your body well hydrated will make sure that your skin retains its elasticity and your stretch marks heal from within. Drink 11-12 glasses of water every day to maintain the elasticity of your skin and prevent further skin scarring due to the formation of stretch marks.
