Hi all,

Often the fast lifestyle makes us tired and fatigued. But you cannot let that affect your life. If you often feel lack of energy during your work hours or after you return home to spend time with your family, this post is for you. These tips will help you to keep your energy tank full throughout the day.

12 Ways to Get Rid of Tiredness

1. Get Health Checkup Done

This is the first thing that you need to do before anything else. Fatigue can happen due to heart problem, pressure, thyroid disease, sleep disorder and many more medical complicacies. If these things happen, it is tough to deal with it without any medical guidance. So if you often get tired, consult your doctor and get your health checked. If you are ok health wise other tips will work. Often some medications lead to tiredness. If that is happening, ask your doctor to change the medicine or prescribe something to combat the side effect.

2. Be Active

Sedentary lifestyle can make you super fatigued and tired- this is a shocking truth that we all need to accept. Walking up and down a building for half an hour won’t make you as tired as sitting in a chair for 5-6 hours can do. If you work at an office and spend hours sitting, you need to take energy breaks in-between. Walk up and down the building or in the compound. If you find a corner, you may jump a little or practice a few lunges. This keeps your body mobbing and you will regain back the lost energy.

3. Workout and Do Yoga

Starting your day with yoga and workouts is a great way to reboot your body and wake it up. Often we straight get into work as soon as we wake up from sleep. Now our body cannot adjust to this and our mind and muscles probably still tend to sleep. If you drag that body to work, it assists you half-heartedly and you soon feel tired. Yoga and workouts are excellent ways to wake up the body. As you sweat, you body regains the energy and gets ready for the long throughout the day. Your workout is your body’s warm-up and you must never skip this part of your day.

4. Practice Deep Breathing

This is an excellent way to fight with tiredness at times of emergency and I use this method quite often. When you take deep breathes, your body gets more oxygen and so do all the cells and tissues of your body via the blood. This helps them to get more energy eventually and the fatigueless goes away. Take long deep breathes for 2-3 minutes when you feel too tired and you will be back into action for the next few hours soon.

5. Take Powernaps

Taking powernaps in-between the day is extremely effective way of dealing with fatigue. Powernap is not sleeping and they should not last for more than 20-30 minutes. This reduces exhaustion, sharpen your working mind, improve your mood, and increases alertness. Try to find a cozy, silent corner and take a mini-nap to revive your body and mind.

6. Reduce Caffeine Intake

Many women drink tea and coffee throughout the day to stay awake for long and keep the tiredness away. But this eventually makes your body more tired and this dependence is bad for your overall health. Do not drink more than one cup of coffee a day. Replace your regular tea with detox tea and green tea. Sleep when you have to and do not force your body to stay awake under the influence of caffeine. You body will work better and get less tired.

7. No Alcohol

Regular alcohol intake also increases fatigue to a great extends. Do not drink after long hours of work every day. There are other ways to unwind and freshen up the mind. When you reduce drinking, your sleeps are deeper and you feel better in the morning and throughout the next day.

8. Sleep Enough

Sleeping at home.

Sleeping 7-8 hours a day is a must even if you are super busy. We often tend to stay awake for long and plan to finish all pending works. We are often left with piles of unfinished works and tired, sore body at the end of the night. This method never works for anyone. Sleep when you have to. Once your body gets enough sleep it starts working better. Then you can finish the work in less time and you won’t feel sleep deprived either.

9. Reduce Stress

Being super stressed never helps in a good sleep. Also, you take longer than required times to finish a work and this will eventually leave you very tired. Reduce the stress and stop worrying all the time. Do not think about work after the office hours and spend some “me time” when you are at home. Explore your hobbies, spend time with family and maintain a positive vibe.

10. Reduce Weight

Being overweight is an another reason behind tiredness and fatigue. Follow a healthy diet, get some workouts and your tiredness will reduce with your weight. Having a fit body keeps you pumped up and motivated throughout the day and you feel a lot less sluggish.

11. Drink Water

Drinking enough water is very important to keep the body recharged. Hydrate your body well throughout the day. It is important to drink 2-3 liters of water throughout the day. We often forget to drink water while being busy at work. If that is the case with you, set alarms in your phone at hour intervals. Along with combating tiredness this will help you to deal with a lot other health problems.

12. Eat Right

Eating nutrient rich food is always important. Often our diet is not rich of calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium which are important electrolytes to keep the energy bar full. Incorporate foods in your diet that are rich in these micro nutrients. Try to drink coconut water, spinach, potato water (sliced unpeeled potato soaked in water is an excellent way of making the water rich in potassium) should be there in your diet. Try to eat healthy and our problem will be solved.
