Before you could begin with the treatment of your neck rash, try to find out that what caused it in the first place. Was it some insect bite, an allergic reaction to a certain chemical or because of skipping sunscreen in the scorching heat of summer sun? Neck rashes can be caused by a variety of reasons and can worsen if not treated correctly at the right time.

2. Aloe Vera Gel:

Aloe vera gel is useful in alleviating the pain, soothing and calming your skin rash. You can apply the gel of freshly plucked aloe vera leaf directly on your rash or keep it in the fridge for an hour to cool it off first.

3. Hydrocortisone Cream:

Hydrocortisone cream

Hydrocortisone cream is a topical corticosteroid which works by reducing the inflammation which causes the swelling, itching, and irritation in the first place. It treats a variety of skin problems/allergies and is suitable to use for a skin rash. You can find hydrocortisone cream over the counter in many drugstores.

4. Cold Compress:

Placing an ice pack on your neck rash will help to draw out the heat from it, and in turn, reduce the redness and itchiness. Put the compress on your neck for a good 15 minutes to soothe your skin down.

5. Aim to Drink 11-12 Glasses of water every day:

Drinking lots of water will make sure that your condition doesn’t worsen due to dehydration and that your recovery process speeds up. Water washes out our body from inside and will help in getting rid of the bacteria which caused the neck rash in the first place by eliminating it from the body.

6. Use Chamomile Oil:

Chamomile oil reduces inflammation, alleviates pain, acts like a disinfectant and promotes healing, providing a soothing effect on your skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties which make it suitable to use on a skin rash. Add two drops of Chamomile oil to Grapeseed oil or any other oil with lighter consistency and apply on the infected area with the help of a cotton ball.

7. Make and Apply Coriander Paste:

Being cool and calming in nature, coriander will make the redness and burning sensation from your rash go away in seconds. Make a coriander paste and apply it on the infected area directly or drink some coriander juice for 3-4 days or till your symptoms subside.

8. Apply Baking Soda:

Baking soda will help in clearing off your skin rash a bit faster owing to its basic nature. After you are done with your bath, spray some soda with a bottle spray lightly on your rash. Avoid using your fingers to do so for hygiene purposes and to prevent spreading the rash on other areas of your neck and body. If you do not have a spray bottle handy, mix some baking soda to your bath water and bath with it.

9. Consult your Doctor:

Consider consulting a dermatologist if all the remedies listed above fail to alleviate your pain and symptoms or your rash grows bigger and gets worse. If ignored for a long time, your skin rash can easily develop allergies which will also create problems for you in gulping and swallowing, breathing and cause irritation with itching.

That’s all for today, girls! Hope this helps.
