8 Ways to use Tea Tree Oil for Acne and Acne Scars

Well, coming back to today’s topic, we would be speaking about how to treat acne and acne scars using tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is one among the ancient remedies that can help to treat acne and more. It contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can assist to treat the acne spots easily. It is a great ingredient used in healing acne scars as well. Tea tree oil is so effective on your skin that it is one among the commonly found ingredients in the creams.

Acne is the most common ailment caused due to clogging of pores, and here we mention the different ways to use tea tree oil on acne and acne scars. Check them out!

1. Tea tree oil with rose water:

Other than treating acne, if you want to keep your skin glowing and fresh at the same time, you can use a mixture of tea tree oil and rose water. Take ½ cup of rose water and add 10 drops of tea tree oil to it. Apply the solution on the acne or acne scars using a cotton ball and leave it for overnight. Wash off with water in the morning.

2. Tea tree oil with distilled water:

Another quick and easy way to treat acne spots on the face is diluting tea tree oil with water. Mix equal quantities of tea tree oil with water and apply on the face (on acne). Wait for some time (at least 3 hours) and wash off with cold water.

3. Tea tree oil with orange juice:

Orange juice helps to soothe the skin, while tea tree oil helps to clear the clogged pores, thus, treating the acne. Mix tea tree oil and orange juice in 2:3 ratio and apply on the face using a cotton ball. Leave it for overnight and wash off with cold water in the morning.

4. Tea tree oil with coconut oil:

Coconut oil is rich in essential fatty acids which help to keep your skin hydrated, while tea tree oil helps to clear up the clogged pores easily. Mix tea tree oil with coconut oil in equal quantities and apply on the acne or acne scars. Leave it for overnight and wash off in the morning with lukewarm water.

5. Tea tree oil with lavender essential oil:

Lavender essential oil and tea tree oil, both help to clear the infection and acne easily, thanks to the anti-bacterial properties in them. Mix 10 drops of lavender essential oil with 5 drops of almond oil and 10 drops of tea tree oil. Apply on the affected area using a cotton ball. You may leave it for overnight.

6. Tea tree oil with banana:

Banana is excellent to be used on skin, thanks to the nourishing properties in it. Also, tea tree oil speeds up the acne and fades away the acne scars easily. Take one banana and mix some tea tree oil to it. Mix together and apply the mask on the acne. Wash off with cold water after an hour.

7. Tea tree oil with green clay:

Green clay contains natural acids that exert a bactericidal effect on the bacteria leading to acne. It is really good in clearing the acne. Take 1-2 spoons of green clay and add some tea tree oil to it. Mix together and apply this mixture on the face. Wash off the next day with the cold water.

8. Tea tree oil with aloe vera gel:

Aloe vera gel contains soothing properties which soothe the skin, and tea tree oil contains antibacterial properties which treat the acne and its scars easily. Take two spoons of aloe vera gel and add some drops of tea tree oil to it. Mix together and apply on the acne. Wash off with cold water after some time.
