I had missed using a serum in my morning and nighttime routine for a long time. I picked up one from Weleda as this products promises to be an intensive serum to make skin feel strong and resilient. They are 100% organic and it’s a very old and established company whom I trust. So, today’s review is all about Weleda Awakening Serum.
Age Defying Serum works well on mature skin. The cool, hydrating serum acts quickly to boost skin’s moisture, while vitamin-rich pomegranate fruit juice gives the appearance of lifted, stronger skin, reducing the visible appearance of wrinkles and providing an active preparation for our Age Defying Day or Night Cream.
Intensively moisturizing, skin appears lifted, strengthened and visibly rejuvenated.

My Experience with Weleda Awakening Serum:
This serum comes in a cardboard packaging with all details and ingredients mentioned on the packaging. The serum comes in a plastic pump bottle which is very convenient. Normally, all Weleda products come in metallic tubes which have its own pros and cons. The pump bottle is easy to handle and I have no complaints. The dispenser also has a very small opening which makes it easy to control the amount dispensed. One can never pump too much of the product. It is also very easy and safe to travel with.
I have been using it for quite a few weeks and it still seems to be quite a bit in the bottle. Only problem is that you cannot make out how much product is left in the bottle.
The serum itself is transparent and has a gel-like consistency. Since the product is slightly expensive, I use it sparingly. I use a little less than a pump for my entire face and neck and I use it just once a day. I prefer using it in the night before applying night cream. I spread the serum all over my face and neck with fingers and gently massage it. The serum gets absorbed almost instantly and there is no trace of it on the skin. There is no oily film or sticky or greasy feeling on the skin.
The fragrance is lovely. It smells fruity as it is supposed to contain pomegranate fruit extracts. The fragrance is very mild and does not last long. It fades off within a few minutes.
I feel that the serum has improved my skin to a great extent. My skin feels soft and smooth. I do not have noticeable wrinkles yet. The product claims to work on very mature skin by tightening it. I wanted to prevent the wrinkles and hence I use it. I cannot talk about this product working on mature skin.
I have dry skin and this serum helps me to provide my skin that extra boost of moisturizing. I believe that it helps prevent ageing. Overall, I have seen a great improvement in my skin and believe that it helps prevent ageing.
